The Cloquet National Guard was organized on December 3, 1907 as the "First Minnesota National Guard" and raised in response to the Spanish-American War. The unit served during World War I and II before being disbanded in 1946. The Cloquet National Guard is now a part of the Minnesota State Patrol. The first national guard unit in Cloquet was called the "Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment". The regiment was organized on December 3, 1907 from members of the Minneapolis City Council's militia committee who had responded to a call for volunteers to help protect Spanish-owned land in what is now Cloquet. In 1916, the state government bought 1,000 acres of land east of Cloquet and dedicated it as the "National Guard Reserve Camp" (later renamed "Cloquet Armory"). This camp served as a training ground for new national guard units until it was closed in 1949. On April 6, 1919, Gov. Harold Stassen announced that all state troops would be mustered out by September 30th and that all guardsmen must return their weapons and supplies to their homes by then. At this time, there were only 9 active guardsmen left in Cloquet; 7 men from Mayor John Kline's office and 2 soldiers from Fort Snelling Garrison (now part of Target Corporation). On October 12th Gov. Floyd Olson ordered an investigation into possible fraudulently obtained supplies that had been distributed among Guardsmen nationwide; these irregularities led to dozens of convictions throughout Minnesota involving members of the military police or national guard. During World War II, mostGuard personnel served with overseas assignments such as General George Smedley's 20th Infantry Division which fought at Normandy beachhead and Holland Anschluss; however some Guardsmen localized themselves within Fortress Snelling where they manned communications towers or performed other support duties for Army Ground Forces operations across Central MN including mopping up operations following Japanese surrender at MacArthur's headquarters inside Wittenberg Hall on July 18th 1945 just days after Japan capitulated unconditionally! When America entered World War II, General Dwight Eisenhower decided that all male citizens over 21 years old became eligible for enrollment into both combat divisions controlled by army theater commanders located throughout continental Europe: Operation Overlord - European theatre - Northwest Europe; invasion/ation Phase - North Africa - Middle East & Southern France etc.; later Patton's Third Army moved westward through Germany towards Italy whileArmy Group Center commanded Union Expeditionary Force linked up with Allied forces advancing south through Austria leading to Red Army Invasion of Yugoslavia on May 14th 1943 which resulted in unconditional surrender of Yugoslavian capital Belgrade! Aftermath saw thousands more people incarcerated behind enemy lines along with millions more tons of munitions confiscated resulting in world largest armament seizure ever! Less than 10%ofwar casualties occurred while over 60%of males age 21+ remained enrolled!). In total approximately 950 Minnesotan Guardsmen lost their lives during WWII...almost one third less than American average! Closure of Camp Armory following war ended volunteer enlistment here finalizing end to military service in town! Cloquet Armory reopened on October 24th 1949 after being closed since 1947 due to budgetary restrictions resultant from Korean hostilities

The Gifting Rulebook requires that all gifts be made through official channels such as purchase orders from a specific source or through a uniformed member's personal account with particular regiment/unit receiving the gift; that only one item per order may be added to any single order; that each recipient have their full name attached to delivery receipt/package; that all packages arrive unopened at their desired unit/regiment location; that pictures cannot be included on Gift Cards/Receipts - they must instead be sent directly to recipients; That all items sent via UMS should come complete with tracking information so recipients can follow along with your deliveries! Cloquet is a small town in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is located in the Canadian province of Manitoba, about 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Winnipeg, on the border of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The population was 581 at the 2010 census. Cloquet is one of two towns in Manitoba that are still functioning as separate communities, along with Wabasca. Cloquet was founded by French Canadians immigrants in 1887 as a small fishing village on the shore of Lake Winnipeg. The name derived from "clocher" or "church bells," which were played to summon fishermen to their boats during morning hours before they headed out into the lake for their day's work. The first post office opened in 1892 and was known as Clochonville; it closed in 1912 due to low mail volume and competition from larger towns inland. In 1916, Cloquet became part of the new Dakota Territory after Canada granted its independence to the United States; it remained part of that territory until becoming a town within Manitoba on January 1, 2008. According to local legend, silver dollars were discovered near Cloquet in 1894 by prospectors working for energy company Northern Pacific Railway Company; these coins are now mounted on an exhibit at Cloquet's Museum Of Canadian History & Culture. The mine closed down around 1910-1912 because of low ore grades and competition from other mines further upriver.
