The history of the Buffalo, Minnesota, shooter gift tradition can be traced back to the early 1900s. The first shooters in the area began gift-giving to one another shortly after the founding of town. At that time, there were no formal rituals or traditions surrounding gift- giving among local farmers and fishermen. Instead, individual farmers would give baskets of shotgun shells as a token of friendship and goodwill. Ultimately, this tradition evolved into what we know today - an annual custom whereby shooters from throughout central Minnesota gather together at various locations in late December for a weekend of shooting fun and fellowship. Over the years, shootings have become more organized and professionalized; however, the basic principle remains the same: friends come together to shoot hoops and raise money for charity! This year's edition will take place on Saturday, Dec. 25th at Tomahawk Outdoor Center in Tomahawk Township. There will be two different types of events - standard open target shooting (OTA) with shotguns only) followed by traditional muzzleloader/rifle hunting (TMLR) competitions with both Single shot pistols (SSP) and rifles (LRP). In addition to TMLR competition there will also be Trap & Skeet matches which are becoming increasingly popular among Shooting enthusiasts across America due their ease of participation and low cost! Buffalo, Minnesota is a small town in the United States. The population was 9,233 at the 2010 census. Buffalo is part of the Saint Paul metropolitan area. The city was founded in 1824 by farmers who were driving out wild game from what is now Minneapolis and St. Paul. The settlement grew quickly, and in 1835 it became a village under the name of Buffalo Landing. In 1846, Buffalo Landing was incorporated as a city with a population of 509 people. It began to grow rapidly, and by 1860 its population had reached 1,100 people. In 1870 Buffalo Landing became an independent city with its own government and boundaries; it had a population of 2,638 people when it merged with Rochester to form the new Rochester–Buffalo Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) on January 1, 1971. In 1978 Buffalo landing annexed part of nearby Isanti County; the annexation led to growth in both cities because much agricultural land was annexed into either city limits or within the MSA boundaries for tax purposes. As time passed though some abandoned industrial sites surfaced again such as Buxbaum's Chemical Store which closed down in 2007 after being vacant for over 20 years In 2018 there was another large abandoned site just outside of town that has been completely left uncontested for years now

Buffalo is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota, located on the Buffalo River and adjacent to the State Capitol building. The population was 67,521 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area and is served by two airports: Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The first European settlement in what is now Buffalo was made in 1824 by trader John Armstrong with fellow Americans George Averill and David Thompson as part of their exploration of the Great Lakes region for fur traders. In 1835, Armstrong's brother James established a trading post called "Armstrong's Fort" on an bluff overlooking the river; it became known as Armstrong's Landing or Buffalo Point after him. In 1836, French Canadian Pierre Gaultier explored and mapped much of present-day Minnesota before his expedition led by Nicolai Nansen arrived at Rogers Bay on Lake Superior to trade furs with Native American groups including the Chippewa and Menominee tribes. After exploring along both sides of Lake Superior, Gaultier named this area New France because he felt it would be more difficult for Native Americans to resist settlers if they could only recognize one territory rather than several different ones due to geographical differences between North America then and today. Upon his return from his voyage, Gaultier reported that he had found a land route between Canada and California that he thought might be available through the lakeshore nations – an event which would lead to further European colonization in what is now Minnesota Territory! In 1840, United States Captain Edward Payson landed near what is now Rochester (present-day Rochester) on Unterwasser Island in anticipation of finding new routes westward across North America via Central Park South followingfurth Creek (now Mississippi River). When no developments were seen along Payson's expected route within three years (due largely to factors such as glaciation), he sailed back downriver towards Michigan but never reached his destination; instead he founded Fort Snelling near present-day Minneapolis in 1843 as a base for American Fur Company traders working outland discovered during their explorations in search for new sources of furbearing animals denuded by Mexico during its Mexican–American War phase hostilities against Mexico City over claims to Alta California (which then included most or all modern Arizona). In 1850, Payson returned upstream from Unterwasser Island with another group of men looking for potential crossing points over Isthmus Of The Rocks (present day Saint Anthony Falls), finding only sandbars until they arrived at Stillwater Lagoon where they constructed wooden dune bridges over Whitewater Creek using reeds collected from nearby bluffs; these crossings finally opened up access into northwesternMinnesota hitherto inaccessible via those same waterways centuries earlier! This event also helped lead to establishment of Strom Thurmond County southwest of Winnipeg as partofUpper Canada Province; thereafter buffalo meat became popular among early Minnesota farmers who could not find other livestock sources sustainably enough due to shortages caused by excessive hunting seasons resulting from timber harvesting campaigns during that time period!
