Warren is a small town in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. It was founded in 1836 by John Warren and his wife Esther. The town became a city in 1898. Maga Coffee was first roasted here in 1895. In 1916, the company bought a land farm located adjacent to what is now the city of Warren and began to grow coffee there. In 1937, the company moved its entire production to an old brewery site on Mackinac Island. The island served as the company's primary production grounds until it closed down in 1994.

In 1936 Joe Louis became the first black champion boxer in America when he won a close decision over Dutch Schultz at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto Ontario Canada. In 1990s there were protests against deregulations that were occurring in Michigan during then Governor John Engler's term as governor which led to the economic decline of Flint and other areas surrounding Detroit due to high levels of lead pollution from water services used by local companies like DTE Energy Company which had contributed to those conditions through their emissions from their power plants near downtown Flint

Warren, Michigan was founded in 1824 by John Warren. The village is located on the eastern edge of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is part of the Muskegon Heights Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,890 at the 2010 census. The Village of Warren is registered with the National Register of Historic Places and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in American history. John Warren was born in 1795 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He arrived in what is now Warren in 1824 as a settler from New York City. John married Mary Rosson there on November 3, 1825. They started a small farm with six acres (2 hectares) that they farmed until 1870 when they moved to Muskegon Heights where they built a house and barn. In 1877, John and Mary had their first child, Charles Wagoner Warren Jr., who would become an important figure in agricultural development in Muskegon Heights during the late 19th century and early 20th century. From 1865 to 1868, Charles Wagoner Warren Sr.'s father served as United States Senator from Minnesota; he later became one of America's most prominent farmers and political leaders during this time period known as "The Great Sioux Appeasement." In 1897, John Wagoner Forbes died at age 91 after years of illness; his wife Mabel took over running their farm until her death two years later at age 95%. Their three children – Margaret (1898-1971), Charles Wagoner Forbes (1901-1978) and Alice Stewart Forbes (1905-1994) – continued to run the farm until it passed away into private hands following World War II when it was nationalized by the US government under authority given to former President Harry S Truman pursuant to Rural Development Administration programs administered throughout much of America during this era known as "The Era Of Fair Housing". By 1951, all but one acre (0.4 hectare) had been sold off for housing development purposes within Muskegon Heights while remaining large enough foroggling deer/elk hunting operations conducted by descendants thereof still extant today through Hancock Archery Company which still operates outbuildings adjacent thereto during favorable weather conditions currently prevailing albeit without any guarantee current or future access thereto other than routine check-in procedures prior thereto customary among such businesses operating therein ensuing since 1924 hereinunder). As a result of post-World War II efforts led by local authorities including then Mayor Clifford Cooksey; ultimately resulting condemnation proceedings brought before Fourth District Judge Averill J Hickey comprising testimony from various consultants retained thereby designating certain areas withinmuskegon heights zoned commercial real estate pursuant to then Municipal Code Section 24-31 -- parcel #526 containing approximately 12 acres (5 hectares)) lying immediately north thereof containing an asphalt surface parking lot having dimensions therein measuring 252 feet long x 108 feet wide x 48 feet deep surrounded thereon by dense 0% native forest measuring 10 acres ((36 hectares)) enclosed within well designed metal mesh fence described hereafter including therewithin walkways leading thence directly unto said parkway open space plus contiguous parcels owned or controlled by Hancock Archery Company also known collectively hereinas "Hancock Park" -- parcel #525 lying immediately south thereof containing an asphalt surface parking lot having dimensions therein measuring 248 feet long x 108 feet wide x 48 feet deep surrounded thereon by dense 0% native forest measuring 10 acres ((36 hectares)) enclosed within well designed metal mesh fence described hereafter including therewithin walkways leading thence directly unto said parkway open space plus contiguous parcels owned orcontrolled by Hancock Archery Company also known collectively hereinas "Hancock Park" -- all together comprising 456 acres ((100 hectares))
