In the year 1955, a new air force was established in Troy, Michigan. This new air force was called the Air Force Reserve. The Air Force Reserve was made up of civilians who were not in the military and who had volunteered to serve their country. The first gift that the Air Force Reserve gave to the community was a bomber plane. This bomber plane was given to the town by General Curtis LeMay. This bomber plane helped to protect Troy from enemy missiles. The next gift that the Air Force Reserve gave to the community was a helicopter. This helicopter helped people to get around town easier than they ever could before. The last gift that the Air Force Reserve gave to the community was a warthog car. This warthog car helped people transportation around town and into battle against enemies alike.

The USAF has deployed several aircraft to different parts of the world, in order to conducting operations and providing assistance to other branches of the military. The United States Air Force deployed a gift history in Troy, Michigan on October 1, 1947. The gift history was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United States Air Force.
Troy, Michigan is a town in the U.S. state of Michigan and is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21,898. The town covers an area of 62 square miles (150 km2). The first Europeans to visit Troy were French fur traders, who named it "Island de la Prairie" in 1634 because they saw no land on which to set up a trading post. The name did not stick for long, as other early explorers perceived it as being too far from their main base of operations at Fort Huron. In 1814, United States Congress passed the act that designated what is now Troy as a consolidated township with power to vote representatively in all matters within its limits; this act became effective December 12th that year. In 1824, another act created Henry Ford Township west of what is now town center and east of US-231 (now I-69), and also gave power to have its own school district and police force - both powers still vested in Troy Township today. The first courthouse was built on Main Street in 1848 by Judge James Killion (1810-1868). It burned down in 1865 but was rebuilt nearby and continued operation until 1968 when it closed due to budget cuts by then Mayor John Engler (D). A new courthouse was built on Saginaw Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets between 1978 and 1984 as part of a larger project entitled "Alteration II". This courthouse still functions today as the Courts Annex building located at 21 Saginaw Ave., Ste 203 across from Saginaw High School. The Second World War interrupted daily activities here but not for long; after just two months following V-E Day there were reports that all troops had returned home safely having served time at Camp Victory near Detroit Rockwell Airport outside city limits! One can only imagine how busy things must have been back then with so many people living close together! The adaptation process went quickly though with plans for four clinics providing health care services to around 50 patients/day soon followed by five more emergency room visits per day once initial fears about overcrowding proved unfounded... almost overnight! A smallpox pandemic hit America during World War II which caused extensive damage to property including extensive loss of trees, roofs, windows... everything you'd expect from something like that! Thankfully no one got sick however some houses lost entire walls or ceilings while others received only superficial damage making them practically unharmed - something unheard Of Prior ToWWII!! Anyway fast forward several years later post war life ramps up again with people returning home & businesses starting up once again...until....the next big thing happened! In 1994 Township officials began discussing options for expanding out into detroit beyond what had originally been envisioned when they formed their organization back in 1824!!! They decided upon going ahead with developing what would become known as "Troy Hills" which would eventually encompass much wider than just downtown areas!!! And so we have ourselves yet another thriving community fullof energy & hope striving everyday towards progress.....

Troy was a small town in the Michigan Territory on the border with Ohio. It was founded by George Washington in 1788, and briefly became part of Illinois before becoming part of Michigan. Troy's economy depended largely on agriculture, but also grew into a manufacturing center for shoes, lumber, and other products. The population peaked at around 5,000 in 1960, but has since declined to about 1,500 today.
Troy was founded in 1837, and became a small town by the early 1840s. The first post office opened in Troy in 1846. In 1865, the township was organized, and the first school was built. The population of Troy increased rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s, thanks to heavy industry and agriculture. The population reached its peak in 1910, but declined subsequent to World War I and the stock market crash of 1929. In 1970, Troy merged with neighboring village of Midland to form a new city government.
