Captain Hickey’s legacy continues today with numerous donations such as an aircraft hangar located on campus complete with an air show runway capable of hosting large jets, a library addition complete with funding for research projects and more recently an endowed professorship in maritime law at US Naval Academy School Of Law! These days, there are multiple events held annually honoringCaptainHickey throughout our city thanks largely to this amazing individual!

Taylor, Michigan is a small town located in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The population was 4,898 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Muskegon Heights Township government. In 2009, Taylor became home to the largest golf course in Michigan. The first settler in Taylor was Daniel Boone who came here in 1813. He and his family were followed by other pioneers and settlers including John Clouse and his family, Nathan Kelleher, Samuel Morse, Benjamin Latimer Jr., Jonas Noyes and others. The first school in Taylor was built on what is now Maple Street in 1827 by Peter Ziegler. In 1831-32, James Fenton purchased 2 lots near where Taylor now stands for $42 dollars each from David Dayne. The Fenton brothers developed this area into what is today known as Fenton Township with a sawmill on the current site of Main Street and gristmills on Little Canada Creek. By 1840 there were 9 churches existing in Taylor township with 309 residents baptized that year according to church records! On April 17th, 1846 local resident George Patton donated land off of West Side Road (now Gratiot Avenue) which would become Center Point Cemetery! George Patton had been born near Port Huron on October 3rd, 1800 and died November 15th1881 after serving during World War I as an American soldier!Taylor’s Centennial Celebration took place on Saturday May 20th 1989 with parade starting at 10am followed by dinner at 5pm then exhibits from 11am-3pm

The Japanese air force had been conducting bombing raids against US bases since late October 1941 - Operation Orange Typhoon . Accordingly; Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto ordered his fleet constructing at Tokachi Island near Shimonoseki Harbour preparatory thereto launching Operation Omi . On November 26th 1941 Commander Arado Flensburg sent orders ordering Rear Admiral Takeshi Takahashi's Carrier Division 3rd Fleet "To cross Lake Hokkaido" -- thence proceeding directly towards Hagushi Airport where they would rendezvous with carrier Kaga next morning....... three days earlier than expected
