After their service ended they reenlisted for four years with Company K of Battalion TWO HUNDREDFOLDST Marine Regiment located at Okinawa Japan from 1959-1966. During this time they served as Headquarters Marines with elements attached to two Naval Air Wings including the US Navy’s Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW5) which was based at Yokosuka Naval Base from 1957-1959). Finally from 1969-1972 marine detachments were assigned to two Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU) which were responsible for amphibious landings onothe Andaman Sea and Nicobar Islands respectively From 2002 until present marines have been providing support through Full Time Soldier Support Squadron One Hundred fifty nine(FTSS1) who provide administrative and logistical support for UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilots flying missions into Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom

Southfield is a city in Northwest Michigan, United States. The population was 38,815 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Wayne County and one of the larger cities in Michigan. Southfield's rich history includes being founded as a village in 1814 by pioneer farmers; it became an incorporated town in 1876; and then, as a city in 1925. The city has experienced dramatic growth over the years, including becoming one of the largest metropolitan areas in Michigan with a population of over 100,000 people. Southfield ishome to many high-tech companies and research institutions; its downtown district is home to several notable museums and galleries; and its lakeside neighborhoods are popular for swimming, fishing, and tourism. The name “Southfield” comes from French for “place where two rivers meet” – this was due to its location on both River Rouge (now part of Detroit) and Lake Huron (now part of Saginaw). At first, the area around present-day Southfield was swampy because there were no trees or other plants available to grow. The first settlers arrived here from Holland in 1814 because they were looking for land that would be easy to farm because it had been cleared by Native Americans who had recently left their homes across the Great Lakes region during the war between France and Britain. Farming quickly became an important business activity here as early settlers found that they could produce crops much faster than anyone else on these new lands. In 1876, when Southfield incorporation came about, it was decided that this small Village would make itself more centrally located so that it could better compete with neighboring towns such as Royal Oak (then called Mackinac) which had become very large thanks to railroad investments. By 1925, however, Southfield had outgrown its limitations as a Village - it became one of the largest cities in Michigan thanks to aggressive marketing campaigns by Mayor John Prentice who saw this City as a place where everyone could find success regardless of occupation or background!
