There’s no question that the coffee industry in Southfield, Michigan has been around for a long time. The city is home to some of the largest coffee roasters in the Midwest and has been producer of quality beans since at least the 1830s. It was even mentioned as one of the original American colonies in a document from 1776! But it wasn’t until 1982 that Southfield became home to its own gourmet coffee company. At that time, local roaster Tandem Coffee had opened up shop and began exporting their unique Arabica coffee to other parts of the United States and Europe. The brand quickly gained a following among those who enjoyed fresh-ground beans hand-selected by their owners – something you can still experience today at several locations throughout downtown Southfield. As both Tandem Coffee and Southfield grew more popular, they decided to team up in order to provide even more delicious options for their customers. This led to what we now know as Gourmet CoffeeSouthField, which continues serve delicious coffee every day while also supporting many local charities and organizations across the city.
When it comes to coffee, there are many things that can make it stand out from the rest. Some of the most popular methods of brewing coffee include drip and French press. And while each has its own particular benefits and drawbacks, they all come with their own set of costs and restrictions. Drip coffee is typically less expensive than French press coffee, but it takes longer to brew. This can lead to a smaller servings size or a more leisurely drinking experience overall. Additionally, drip coffee is often lower quality because it involves using water that has been exposed to grounds for a longer period of time. French press coffee is usually more expensive than drip coffee, but it produces a stronger cup of drink. It also requires more effort to pour the beans into the pot since they are forced through a narrow opening at the bottom which gives the drink an intense flavor profile. The drawback is that this type of coffee requires more setup time - both in terms of preparation and brewing - so it may not be suitable for everyone.
Southfield has been a center of coffee production for over 100 years. The first known coffee shop in Southfield was opened by George and Anna Kapp in 1892. The first café in Southfield was the Eagle Cafe, which was located on Michigan Avenue. In 1916, the first roastery and grinder were established in Southfield by Harry Voight and Emil Fischer. In 1926, the first espresso machine was manufactured in Southfield by Angelo Petrini. From 1927 to 1937, the Southfields produced their own beans (the brand name for these beans is still used today).
Southfield, Michigan is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Wayne County. The population was 33,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The city was founded in 1824 as a result of land purchases from five Dutch families who had settled in what is now Southfield Township on the west side of Lake Huron. In 1835, it became a village and was incorporated as a town on May 15,1865 by ordinance of the Michigan General Assembly. On February 17, 1907, Southfield became an independent city through an act of its charter-making body, the City Council; however it retains its village status until formal annexation into Detroit occurred on November 25, 1967 when both cities were consolidated into one larger municipality under that name. In 1916–1917 Southfield High School (now known as Southfield Junior-Senior High School) hosted a large international basketball game between Canada and America which helped promote friendly relations between these countries during World War I; Canada won 71 to 36 in front of 11,000 spectators at Southfield's then-new Main Street Auditorium. On October 5th 1912 former President Grover Cleveland visited Southfields First Baptist Church where he delivered his first public speech since leaving office two years earlier due to health issues including gout and various other ailments which forced him to miss numerous important events such as Woodrow Wilson’s inauguration ceremony and Atlantic City Boardwalk Parade In 1917 Jens Rohde set up shop in an urban field near downtown for Socko’s Shoes manufacturing company providing work for soldiers returning home after World War I He also donated $1 million towards construction of Central Park North (later renamed Roosevelt Park). This donation allowed for construction of one mile (1 km) north from Van Dyke Avenue east to Euclid Avenue with money given back over time by Socko’s heirs upon cessation or revocation of their patent rights

There are many different types of gourmet coffee available on the market today, including French press, pour-over, espresso machine-served green tea (teavana), blend (a mix of regular and specialty beans), Dark roast (mixture that reaches at least 50% caffeine), Sumatra Sulawesi Indonesia (SRI) - an Indonesian type of Sumatran sunflower oil bean - Arabica (produces dark chocolate flavors), Kenyan Biafra Bean - a high-quality bean from Africa - Robusta (roasted with `burnt` or ``crushed``nuts), Ethiopian Beba Coffee - a medium-bodied bean from Ethiopia that offers sweet notes and bitter aftertaste - Roast Level 6 or above represents the best quality possible for this variety).
The first espresso machine was built in 1876 by Luigi Becchi.
Southfield, Michigan is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Oakland County. The population was 71,811 at the 2010 census, making it the fourth-largest city in Michigan and the ninth-largest city in Oakland County. It is also one of five cities within the Detroit metropolitan area. The first European to set eyes on what is now Southfield was French explorer Pierre Marquette on July 6, 1796 while exploring Lake Superior for fur traders; he named it after Louis XVI of France's Duchy of Anjou. On January 8, 1802, General Anthony Wayne founded what became Wayne County in current-day Michigan as part of his Indian War campaign against Native American tribes called the "Campaign for Independence". The town started as a garrison led by Captain John Purdy until it was moved to its present site on October 10th, 1814 when Henry Dearborn donated land east of present day Southfield to establish what would become Southfield Township. On November 15th 1819 an act was passed by Congress creating Wayne County according to legislation then known as 'An Act for organized constabulary and other purposes'. This act provided that all future township boundaries be based on land grants given out by Detroit mayor Augustus Porter (1795–1877) during his time as Treasurer of State from 1815 until his death in office on December 3rd 1865; this included much of today's southeast side including parts now located in Peoria Township and Bloomfield Township - which are considered part of south suburban Detroit today). In 1834 Major General James Kappes completed construction on Fort Dearborn which served as both a fortification at Saginaw Bay and later a trading post along with village development around it which developed into downtown Southfield today - becoming one of largest cities between Detroit and Chicago due to its significant wealth generated through fur trade activities combined with oil production developing nearby (the first oil well being drilled at Youngstown – Northeast Ohio – almost two hundred miles from home). Between 1840–1950 more than 1 million people were born or lived there including many important figures such as George Stephenson (the inventor who devised locomotives), Abraham Lincoln (an early settler who worked at Dearborn Arsenal), David Dixon Harper (founder/CEO/COO Ford Motor Company), Harry Moody (founder/CEO Jamba Juice), Bob Dylan (singer/songwriter) and more. It wasn't until recently that attention has again begun to focus on this historic center west of downtown following several years where median household incomes surpassed 100% for the first time ever (-$7,500 vs $50K) due largely to new development developments surrounding downtown dating back to before World War II when heavy industry fled Southgate because wartime production taxes made access difficult or prohibitively expensive inside their borders - most notably across I-75 where large tracts have been transformed into upscale neighborhoods like Allen Park or Novi while smaller sections remain rural poor areas like East Lansing or West BloomFIELD still struggling with economic instability since they've lost much industrial jobs associated with Steel towns such as Warrensburg or Highland Park
The village of Southfield was organized in 1838 and became a borough in 1850. The first post office in the borough was established in 1851. In 1870, the township of Southfield was created, and in 1907, the borough became an unincorporated community. The population of Southfield declined after World War II until it peaked at over 15,000 during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Since then, the population has slowly declines by about 1%.
