The first coffee beans were roasted on the property of Dr. John Goodyear in 1876. In 1912, Mr. Harry Kapp established his own roastery in South Lyon and continues to produce quality coffee today. Over time, other businesses have cropped up in South Lyon including The Ann Arbor Coffee Company which produces artisanal Greek-style espresso drinks, Cup 'O' Joe's Pizza which offers delicious pizza dishes made with fresh ingredients from local farmers, and Morelli's Italian Ice cream shop which has been operational since 1954! Today, South Lyon is known for its unique arts scene where residents abound with creative talent. Performers like Honoree Hayes (singer/songwriter) headline shows at the iHeartRadio Music Festival each year and many local businesses offer their customers unique experiences such as being able to join hands with an artist during performance or experiencing live music through headphones! As an artisan coffee shop, we take great pride in our smallbatch roasted coffee. Our beans are hand-selected and roasted in-house using the best practices and methods available. We strive to produce a high quality cup of coffee that is sure to please the most demanding palate. Our roast process begins with roasting our beans for approximately 20 minutes at a temperature of 230 degrees Fahrenheit. This ensures that every bean is roasted properly and gives each one its unique flavor profile. After roasting, we then put these beans through a rigorous filtration process which removes any harmfulurities before pouring them into our espresso machines. Once we have finished brewing our espresso, we carefully dry and store our beans in airtight containers so that they can stay fresh for up to 3 months. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality artisan coffee possible, and by purchasing our cups from us you are helping us achieve this goal!

South Lyon is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the seat of Macomb County. The population was 11,083 at the 2010 census, making it one of the most populous cities in Macomb County. South Lyon is located on the southern border of Macomb County and is bordered by Lansing to the north, Auburn Hills to the east, and Orion Township to the south. It is also home to South Lyon High School which offers educational opportunities for students from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. The first settlers in what is now South Lyon were French Canadian farmers who arrived during 1810-1812. They named their village after Louis-Jacques Le Moyne, Sieur de Pontchartrain, who had founded Detroit in 1795 as a French fur trader's trading post on Grand River near today's Midtown Detroit. In 1811, General Anthony Wayne captured Mobile Bay from Spanish control and renamed it Fort Dearborn after his father general George Washington Wayne (1755-1826). A decade later, Michigan became an American state when its territory was divided along racial lines between Great Britain and United States following the Mexican–American War (1846-48). In 1868, Judge Augustus Kelley built his farmstead on land that he bought from David Casto for $100 dollars (). The cast iron ring road bridge over Big Creek which connects South Lyon with Lansing was completed in 1880 as part of an effort by county commissioners to improve transportation within their county; this bridge still stands today across Big Creek about two miles east of downtown South Lyon. When McKesson Pharma Company purchased US Pharmaceuticals Inc., a pharma company then based out of New York City but soon expanding into other countries such as Europe and Asia Pacific regions including China), they chose not to move their corporate headquarters away from New York City but instead placed their new headquarters inside what would become known as "The Ring Road" complex located adjacent to present day South Lyon Boulevard/Highway 10 (now M-1 motorway) just west of current day Union Depot site where US Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s original building still stands today underutilized as housing until recently when its demolition began relatively recently due largely to zoning changes brought about by Via Railtrack’s presence on nearby property since moving its manufacturing operations therefrom; however some remnants remain including several large statues associated with that era including one entrance plaza surrounded by large metal plates depicting three Lafayette Figureshead sculptures atop columns - Harlan Ellison Collection photo ILLUSTRATION South Lyons Municipal Airport covers 2 acres (8 hectares) at an elevation OF 398 feet (122 meters) above mean sea level

South Lyon, Michigan is a city in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. The population was 9,918 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. South Lyon was founded in 1824 by French-Canadian settlers who named it for Lyon, France. The first white settler in what would become South Lyon was Father Philippe de L'Isle and his family from Quebec. They arrived on July 4, 1824 and built a log cabin on the banks of the river Rouge near present-day Belle Isle Park. They were joined by another group of Canadiens in 1830 and soon there were several families working around the lumber mills at Saginaw River where they caught fish to eat and traded goods with local farmers. When transportation became available over land routes through present-day Mio Township (now part of Monroe County), more people moved into this new region. In 1834 two men from Canada named John Fenton and Samuel Heald came to South Lyon looking for land to buy from Indian traders but found only clearcuts that had not been claimed yet by other settlers so they went back home with their equipment before continuing their journey downriver to Saginaw Bayou on October 15th with news of an opening up along the way which led them to believe that they had found what they were looking for when instead they discovered a hostile band of Chief Joseph's Canoeemen living right next door! They quickly built themselves some shelter using logs left over from construction upstream at Saginaw Bayou opposite today's South Lyon Elementary School while waiting out the war between US&CAN forces beginning October 17th until December 11th when hostilities ended without any injuries or fatalities among their number... The townspeople began erecting buildings one after another as businesses grew larger; first a tabernacle (a small chapel) used by religious services held inside homes then schools followed; churches such as St Mary's Catholic Church (founded in 1840), Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church (1851), Immaculate Conception Orthodox church (1864), St John's Episcopal church (1871) all started construction within a few years of each other... The Methodist Episcopal church completed its building in 1875 just west of downtown making it one of America's first cities with formal public structures! Churches continued to be erected throughout ensuing decades as Methodism became more popularized across North America during this time period... In 1881 Jesse Hahn organized a company called Northern Indiana Coal & Coke Company which developed muchMLK County production including mine development on Belle Isle Park resulted from increased demand due largely to railroad travel connecting southeastern Michigan with Illinois via Chicago... In 1907 Artemus Ward bought 10 acres east side of Main Street south of First Avenue and established Ward Manufacturing Company starting out making pianos but expanding rapidly into other products such as radios, televisions, bicycles etc.; he also opened an A&P store adjacent which became known as "the department store" later becoming Macy's Department Store until it closed in 1967due mainly to competition from Sears Roebuck & Co.; ward also donated land north side current day Elizabethtown Road between 1st Avenue/St Clair Drive eastward into what is now occupied by Southern Ford dealership before his death leaving behind many valuable properties including "... manor house located on property now containing Interlocking Farm Buildings dating back 100 years..." southernmost structure being original farmstead consisting only Of A Cottage And Barn For Use By Himself Alone specimen still extant having Beveled Roofline And One story Gabled roof flanked On Both Sides With Brown eaves typical Of Victorian Style architecture....
In 1848, the first white person to live in South Lyon was John McKnight. McKnight started a small grocery store on what is now Main Street. In 1856, he built a grist mill on the east side of town and began to sell flour and other products to local farmers. In 1861, McKnight married Anna Belle Lewis, who was from nearby Lansing. The couple moved into an old log cabin near the intersection of First and Main Streets in South Lyon. They had six children: Anna (1863-1944), John (1865-1938), Emma (1867-1945), Ella (1869-1960),and two daughters later died in infancy: Margaret(1872-1953) and Jennie(1875-1963).
