The Riverview Gun Club was founded in 1907, by George P. Smith and his wife Clara. The club has been meeting regularly at the old Bellefontaine Mine since then, and currently meets at the former Grosse Pointe Arsenal Ammunition Depot on North Ave. In 1912, the club purchased a shotgun from E.D. Diggs of Chicago, giving it its present name-the Riverview Shotgun Club. The first annual meeting of the club was held on November 24th that year, with Wm. Hite presiding over proceedings. On December 1st 1913, Mr. Aiken donated a rifle to the club-this rifle being later used as the clubhouse gun for many years until it was sold in 1978 to James Fenton of Detroit; who kept it in his home until 1984 when it was donated to the Riverview Gun Club Museum). In 1938, Mr. and Mrs. John Lennon attended their firstRiverview Gun Club meeting-ever! Their visit marked an important milestone for our organization asJohn had just started playing music publicly and wanted to be able to shoot firearms legally! After their visit, we decided that we should switch our primary focus from shotguns to rifles (it Turned out that John Lennon wasn’t actually very good with pistols…) so we bought him a .22LR bolt action rifle! We also hosted our very first “Gun show” which attracted quite a few people from around town-most notably Ed McMahon who brought his golden age Colt revolver! It is interesting to note that even after all these years-the Riverview Gun Club still holds regular meetings at various locations within river view including: Bellefontaine Mine (now an ammo depot), Grosse Pointe Arsenal Ammunition Depot (now closed), and now back at the old Bellefontaine Mine where we meet monthly again! This shows just how popular firearms ownership/ shooting really is here in Riverview—-especially considering that this community only began growing up when guns were banned altogether!

Riverview is a small town in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 2,451 at the 2010 census. Riverview is located on the Muskegon River and it is part of the Grand Rapids–Watkinsburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what became Riverview was John French in 1834. By 1840, there were twelve families living here. In 1847, we had five houses and a couple of stores. The first post office was established here in 1850 and the name was changed toMuskegonville in 1855. In 1861, there were only 20 people here and by 1870 there were just six families left. By 1880 only four families remained and by 1890 only two families did still live here. In 1892, a sawmill was built on the riverbank about one mile away from where present-day Riverview stands. It operated until 1906 when it burned down due to faulty construction materials used for its foundation which caused heavy flooding downstream that destroyed much of downtown Muskegonville as well as many homes along the river bank including some owned by French settlers who lived nearby at that time. A new sawmill was built upstream with better construction materials but it also burned down in 1906 however this did not have any significant impact on downstreamriver communities such as Riverview as most of their businesses continued to function during that time period without interruption thanks to their sister town Watkinsonville which also experienced heavy flooding events all around podunk towns like Watkinsonville during those years while Muskegon City managed to maintain its own core business district even as other community east of the river struggled financially midst economic recession throughout late 19th century United States.) In 1912, a grist mill called The Grist Mill Company began operations on Main Street northeast of present day River View making flour for local grocery stores including one founded by George Wicker (of Wicker's Orchard fame) upriver near modern-day Clinton Township before switching focus towards cheese production starting with milk products shortly thereafter until closure in 1975 after over 150 years of continuous operation). This milling process would continue southward along Third Street into Clinton Township providing cornmeal for local restaurants through out prohibition era before moving back upriver into current day Wexford Township circa 1990s continuing production mainly for tortillas & pupusas currently although expansions are contemplated for retail sales also) Riverview would experience another major change following World War II when millions of soldiers arrived seeking employment and many opted to settle permanently inside war zones such as America’s Great Lakes region thus creating an extended rural influx withinmuskegon county via Interstate 90 corridor resulting in increased population density drawing more services & amenities closer together causingRiver View & environs almost instant notoriety becoming known nationally among postwar retirees seeking escape from daily grind once hostilities ended& resumed normal life patterns gradually chipping away at original pioneer settlement fabric until all but vanished overnight during early 21st century leaving little physical evidence remaining today exceptoisequeen size creek running directly through heartland village centerformerly known locally simply as “the stream” People often think about "the old days" when they visit Riverview or hear stories about how things used to be different hereabouts - back then there weren't so many people living close together and everyone pretty much knew everybody else! And if you didn't know somebody - you likely got along pretty well with them because nobody really wanted anything bad enoughto care about getting too close! Back then life generally centered around farming or working at home; you could do whatever you liked since no one really cared if you lived next door or not! There wasn't much going on outside our tiny town other than what we gathered around our fire every night or hunted pests outdoors... nothing very exciting ever happened! But times have definitely Changed since then though... thankfully! For instance: technology has completely replaced most traditional methods of communication now letting us stay connected even While Out Of Town!! And guess what? That means we can now chat online DURING THE DAYS AND EVEN ON HOLIDAYS!!! What else could possibly be better than THAT?! LOL No seriously folks - give it a try sometime!"

The Riverview community in Muskegon County, Michigan is home to some of the most well-preserved and intact river communities in the United States. It was founded by German immigrants in 1835, and it has seen a variety of cultures and economies come and go over the years. The Riverview area was once an agricultural region that produced corn, beans, wheat, flour, cheese, eggs, butter and other products for surrounding towns. Today, there are small businesses located along the banks of the Muskegon River that continue to produce these same products despite environmental challenges. Riverview also features a number of interesting historical figures associated with its community. One such figure is John Smeaton who came to Riverview from Illinois in 1847 and helped found the town. He also served as mayor from 1858-1860 and 1865-1867. Another notable figure associated with Riverview is Jacob Riis who Boulevardcoach named after him in 1915. Riis was a socialist activist who fought for social justice during his time spent living in Riverview.
Riverview is located in the geographic area of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The community was founded in 1872 by two brothers, John and George Jackson. Riverview grew quickly, and by 1886 it had a population of 300 people. By 1910, the community had increased to 1,000 people. In 1916, Riverview became a city under the incorporation of Grand Rapids.
