Holland, Michigan is a small city in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The population was 3,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Kalamazoo County. In 1824, as part of its efforts to open up western Michigan to settlement by whites, Congress designated Holland as one of four townships within Cass County so that white farmers could purchase land north and west of Marquette Lake while Indian reservations were established on both sides of Mackinac Island. The town became a major transportation hub with connections to other settlements in Cass County and southeast Michigan via stagecoach routes and canals. During World War II, Holland played an important role as a munitions production center due to its location on Canfield Road between Flint and Grand Rapids; during this time much German equipment was produced here including tanks and artillery pieces which were then transported back across the country to fight against Allied forces during the war. After war ended Holland experienced rapid growth with development taking place such as a new shopping mall called "Holland Towne" which opened in 1984 followed by another high profile development "The Park" whichopened in 2003 just off I-94 next to Memorial Stadium main campus

Holland, Michigan is a small town in Lapeer County, Michigan, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Detroit–Warren–Dearborn Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European tosight what is now Holland was on July 8, 1624 when Jacques Marquette and his party of explorers landed on the shores of Lake Huron from Quebec. Holland became an official village in 1792 when it became part of the Grand Rapids District of Michigan Territory underoway with its first post office being established in 1803. In 1847, Holland Township was organized as a result of the partitioning of Lapeer County into two districts: one for Dearborn and one for Holland Township. In 1898, the township's name was changed to Holland-Lapeer after Henrietta Mott Landis donated land to that effect in memory her late husband William H. Mott (1822-1906), who had been elected treasurer for Lapeer County in 1897 and 1899 and served until his death in 1906. During World War II, many residents worked at DuPont's munitions plants located in nearby Flint and Ann Arbor. After liberation from Nazi occupation came about 1945 local businesses reopened including Dutch Bros ice cream parlor which reopened after being closed during the war by order from then UAW President Walter Reuther; Dutch Bros also reopened as a restaurant called "the Annex" across from IGA grocery store on Woodward Avenue later becoming known asDutch Bros Steakhouse & Brewery The post office moved to its current location near Howell Road east of Main Street in 1959 after serving as a stop for mail service between Holland-Lapeer Township and Lansing since 1853 when it opened at Masonic Temple on Woodward Avenue north of Harper Road next to current day Ford dealership where mail service continues today . The original church built there burned down but replaced with worship building which still stands today across from IGA grocery store on Woodward Avenue later becoming known asChurch Hill Community Church
Holland, Michigan was a small town in Washtenaw County, Michigan during the early 1800s. The first white settler in the area was James Holland, who moved to the area in 1814. By 1825, there were only 10 residents living in Holland. In 1827, the town was named after Holland's father-in-law, Cornelius Vanderbilt. The first school in Holland opened in 1828 and served grades K-8. The town had no paved streets until 1830 when a road was built from Howell to Holland. In 1837, a post office was established at Holland and continued serving until 1861. In 1840, a sawmill was built and soon became one of the most important businesses in the community. In 1865, a gristmill and other mills were also built around Town Center Boulevard.
