In 1978, we contributed an additional five handguns to this club! Today, we continue to support this important community resource with donations from our members! Today, there are over 1,500 members who participate in activities at our clubs across Michigan! These clubs provide opportunities for member interaction and learning about firearms while having some great laughs too! It is through these organizations that we continue to learner how essential it is that responsible firearm ownership remains accessible to everyone who wishes them access!

Fenton is a small town in the Huron County, Michigan area. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Michigan Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Fenton Township was John Fenton on a farm that he bought from Peter Kalisz in 1837. The township was organized on February 17, 1847. Fenton became a village on November 3, 1907. On July 1, 1920 it became an incorporated town and lost its independent status when it merged with Grand Rapids to become the metropolitan area of Grand Rapids-Michigan. The Town Hall was designed by architect George W. Franks and built in 1912- 1913 for $5,000 from funds raised by local subscription and income from lumber sales and real estate development within the town limits followed soon after. The post office opened on December 12th of that year and continued until May 6th 1909 when it reopened as an agency of the new Grand Rapids-Michigan Municipal Corporation under control of City Manager Maurice Hinson which had been formed effective March 1st 1908 following incorporation of the city into Grand Rapids as a result of an act of Congress passed June 25th, 1907 which granted authority to Mayor Noble Sayers to make changes in municipal government within twenty miles thereof without prior approval from any other municipality within that twenty mile radius subject only to such changes as may be necessary forthe better administration ofthe city proper while preserving its character as a city governed by a Mayor and City Council determined by popular vote rather than through property tax).
