The Farmington Hills Army National Guard Armory has been serving the community for more than 50 years. The armory is one of the first National Guards armories in Michigan and it was opened on December 1, 1947. Thearmory is a part of the State Military Museum System in Michigan and it is open to the public from 9am to 4pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sundays. Since its inception, the Farmington Hills Army National Guard Armory has played an important role in the life of the community. It has been home to various units of the Michigan Army National Guard, including: Company C (2nd Battalion), 7th Armored Regiment; 2nd Battalion, 194th Infantry Regiment; 3rd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment; 1st Brigade Combat Team (1st Airborne Division), 25th Infantry Division; and Company B (5th Battalion), 184th Infantry Regiment. In addition, since 1947, it has also been home to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery (9TH Field Artillery Brigade) of Troop A (1st Squadron) 41st Armored Cavalry Regiment. The armory was originally built as a storage facility for military equipment used by local police departments. After World War II ended, funding was available for new construction and on November 15, 1951, Major General William J. Kilpatrick dedicated what would become known as The Armory at Farmington Hills with Lieutenant Colonel Seymour Siever officiating as honorary president. In 1963-1964 renamed The Armory at East Moline Road because that location served as headquarters for Third Infantry Division during Operation Market Time which followed Korea’s surrender. From 1965-1969 it housed Second battalion 541st Armor Regiment until being closed due to budget cutsbacks within IARN command structure following Vietnam War era expansions On July 14/15 2007 a fire destroyed portions of building #4 across from courtyard - no injuries were reported but property damage reached $865 worth of items Army gift history begins with World War II

This act regulated how much weaponry could be exported to each country and determined what type of firearms could be imported into the United States. As a result, shotguns were not allowed to be shipped to China while rifles were banned from being sold to Cuba or any other communist countries despite their requests for such weaponry. As time passed, this policy changed but it was still generally difficult for Americans to buy arms in Europe due to these regulations. In 1994, Congress passed The Defense Appropriations Act which lifted all restrictions on foreign sales of U.S.-made arms in order to help support America’s war effort in Bosnia-Herzegovina during Operation Allied Force. This event helped increase domestic demand for firearms as buyers looked towards purchasing guns domestically rather than importing them from abroad. The City of Farmington Hills was founded on December 12, 1871 by Reuben Wertheimer and other farm owners as a small community named Farmington on the southeast corner of Woodward Avenue and Farms Road. The name was changed to Farmington Hills in 1907 after incorporation into the City of Detroit. In 1969, the Farmington Hills ZIP Code became an official U.S. Postal Service ZIP Code when it was combined with Dearborn Heights to form the new Detroit–Dearborn–Warren Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The history of Farmington Hills can be traced back to 1871 when Reuben Wertheimer purchased land east of present-day Woodward Avenue for $1 from Augustus Cooke and others who had bought property there earlier that year. The first buildings were built on what is now Woodward Avenue – two homes, one store and one office building still stand today – but the town quickly grew around them and soon took on its current name: Farmington on December 12, 1871 due to its location near some nearby farms which were being rented out for agricultural purposes at that time. The original townspeople did not have any close relatives living inDetroit so they decided to establish their own society which would help them run their businesses efficiently while also maintaining personal connections within their village through meetings held monthly or twice annually; these meetings served as important social occasions where citizens could discuss local issues and meet each other’s obligations towards each other as well as plan future actions or events connected with their village/townhood/city boundaries etc.).
