The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services in the United States. The USAF traces its origins to World War I, when America entered into a neutrality pact with Russia. On 17 December 1917, President Woodrow Wilson established an air force as part of a new military organization called the National Defense Reserve Fleet. On 15 September 1919, while commander of US Navy Squadron Fourteen at Hampton Roads, Virginia, First Lieutenant John J. Pershing observed an airplane flown by Spanish fighter pilot José Antonio Fernández de la Rúa over Balboa Island in Puerto Rico and recommended that a national air service be formed to provide cover for American forces during the Spanish Civil War. The name "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" was chosen for what would become the United States Department of Aeronautics and Space within President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal Coalition in 1933. In 1947–48 Major General Curtis LeMay ordered bombing raids on Japanese targets in China inOperation Little Germany which were among the most destructive U.S operations during World War II; these raids destroyed over 100% of all major industrial targets in China without loss to American warplanes or human life

The 1st Tactical Air Force (1 TAF) was activated on 15 Mar 1947 at Grand Rapids, Michigan. The mission of the 1 TAF is to provide air support for ground forces in NATO and multinational operations. The wing was redesignated as the 3d Tactical Air Force on 15 Sep 1951 and activated at Decatur, Illinois on 8 Nov 1952. It was redesignated as the 4th Tactical Air Force on 15 Jul 1955 and activated at Randolph AFB, Texas on 16 Sep 1955. On 17 Jun 1959 it was reassigned from the Western United States Command to Headquarters USAF as part of a subsequent realignment of commands within USAF. On 26 Apr 1960 it was again reassigned to Headquarters USAF when IADC headquarters moved from Fort Worth, Texas to Warren-Gumford AFB, Arkansas effective 14 May 1960. From 1961 through 1966 it served with Continental US Forces Africa during the Cuban Missile Crisis; however its combat assignment ended when that squadron withdrew from active duty on 25 Jul 1966.
Allen Park is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Macomb County. The population was 73,821 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city in Macomb County by population. It is also one of the most populous cities in Michigan, with over 100,000 residents living within its boundaries. Allen Park is located on the eastern edge of Detroit metropolitan area and is one of two cities (the other being Auburn Hills) that make up Metro Detroit. The first people to live in what is now Allen Park were Native Americans who hunted game near what is now Gratiot Avenue and Woodward Avenue. The first European to come across this area was Lieutenant John Cranch in 1814 when he explored what are today Macomb Township and Ford Cityships on his way from Mackinac Island to Lake Huron via Cadillac Peninsula. He named these areas "Allen" after Mount Clemens in New York State where he had been visiting before returning home to Fort Dearborn on July 5th, 1814. In 1835, Allen Park was organized as a township, which became a city on November 3rd, 1849 when it became part of the newly formed city of Detroit. On December 6th, 1850 – just 8 days after becoming a city – it amalgamated with neighboring townships to form one large municipality known as "Detroit". On January 1st, 1898 – less than two years after becoming an independent municipality – Allen Park merged into Detroit's police department as well as all other municipal services under Mayor Abram Brownell's administration creating one municipally run organization which would be known today as "Detroit Police Department". This merger made both municipalities responsible for their own police service while still remaining within Wayne County government hands until 1959 when they were placed within Macomb County government hands once again following the opening of Wayne State University in nearby Midtown Campus which provided new growth opportunities for both municipalities and required them to merge back into one entity once again
The United States Air Force has a rich history of giving back to the community. One of the most well-known examples is the gift of air force helicopters to local charities. This tradition goes back to World War II, when the United States Air Force donated two F4F Wildcats aircraft to The Salvation Army. Additionally, in 1961, the USAF gifted three Cessna 182s to The American Red Cross in support of disaster relief efforts in South Korea. In 1977, another three Cessna 182s were donated to The Salvation Army as part of a package deal that included an airplane and hangar for use by Operation BlessingKids, which was then working with inner-city children living in poverty. Since then, the USAF has given nearly 1,000 different types of helicopters and airplanes to charity organizations all over the world. This generosity ranges from helping people during natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes, through providing transportation for military members stationed abroad or supporting humanitarian efforts domestically and abroad. Some notable recipient organizations include The International Red Cross (www.redcrossusa.org), World Vision (www.worldvisionusa.org), St John’s Ambulance (www.stjohnsambulanceusa.org), Make-A-Wish USA (www.wishusaustralia). As we enter into 2019, it is important that we continue this trend by donating new technology and planes such as the Boeing 717 Airlift Aircraft which will be used for floods Relief Efforts in Louisiana this coming year!

Allen Park is a city in the Michigan congressional district and is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The population was 73,241 at the 2010 census. It is located on the border of Wayne and Oakland counties, east of downtown Detroit, and north of Royal Oak. The first settlers in what is now Allen Park were French fur traders who came to this area in 1796. They built Fort Mackinac on an island in the river that later became known as Mackinac Island. The fort served as a trading post between Canada and Europe. In 1803, General John McClellan's army invaded Upper Michigan and besieged Fort Dearborn on the recommendation of General James Wilkinson, then governor of Michigan Territory. After two days without news from McClellan's army, Wilkinson sent messengers to let his friend know he had been successful in besieging Dearborn but did not inform him that his forces had penetrated into Ohio territory so far south. On July 4, 1803, McKenzie arrived with 3 companies of militia from New York City to help relieve Dearborn; however, when he found out about what was happening he ordered his men back home before reaching Mackinac Island . In 1806, Lansing transferred ownership of Mackinac Island to the United States government for use as a military post against British Loyalists living near Lake Huron; it was renamed Fort McNair after General James McNair who fought in the War for Independence (1775-1783). In 1807–1808 Ulysses S Grant took over command at Ft McNair from Captain David Dixon Gilbert while still stationed there during Clinton's administration because no one else wanted it after France withdrew its support for American independence policies following America's victory at Trafalgar (1904). In 1830 Allen Park was organized as a town by Jackson Township trustees under Act No 9 OF 1830 which established "an election board" composed only of township trustees with power to issue tickets for office holders including one vote each for mayor, recorder and town clerk etc., "to be held annually." A meeting was called on March 15th where lot numbers were assigned and $300 cash prices set for real estate transactions including lots laid out within boundaries drawn by commissioners appointed by act No 11 OF 1830 . On April 5th 1800 Rev George Ladd gave an address entitled "An Address To The Citizens Of Allen Park Township" urging them to unite behind Samuel Davenport Jr who contested vote fraudulence charges brought against him during spring elections 1800 due mainly to lack of organization within township yet also stating that if people were more united they could better fight against taxes levied upon them without their consent though many residents felt tax money wasn't needed since they received more services than others through government subsidies like schools/water/road facilities etc...present attendance consisted mostly young unmarried women working outside homes doing all sorts hands-on chores such as fetching water buckets or painting fences while men went off planting cornfields or fishing...the speaker urged citizens not TO LET POLITICAL POWER FUNDAMENTALLY DISTRIBUTE GOOD WATER AND ROAD SUPPLY TO ALL WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT BUT TO FIGHT BACK BY BUILDING THEIR OWN PUBLIC LIBRARY WITH HEALTHY WATER AND ROADS FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING THE CHILDREN WHEN THEY ARE NO LONGER SCHOOLED OUTSIDE HOMES BECAUSE OF TAXATION...he asked those present if they would be willing to sign an order authorizing plantation & collectionof road debts amounting $1 per tonne collected plus interest & costs payable theretoWheeler made three presentations before committee consisting solely Sergeants Beaumanoir & Gagnier facing seven members asking specific questions about activities taking place within their townships having little chance ot success other than Wheeler testifying truthfully AT ALL TIMES receiving polite applause FROM HIS COaching COUNCIL ALSO PRESENTING MEMBERSHIP CARD ASSOCIATED WITH THEM SEVERAL WITNESSES IN SUPPORT OF THE TESTIMONY WHICH WAS CONCLUDED BY A FINE ACT AGAINST Wheeler
In 1875, Allen Park was laid out as a Township by the Michigan Legislature. It was named after General John P. Allen, who served in the Union army during the American Civil War. The township became a city in 1907 and was renamed Detroit.
