In 1907, the company became part of the Harry Teague Coffee Company and later the Boston Tea Party Coffee Company. The company continued to operate until it closed its doors in 1974. The history of maga coffee is intertwined with that of Springfield itself. The city was known for its fertile soil and production of tea – both of which contributed to its reputation as a center of beans and coffee commerce throughout New England. In addition, maga coffee has been credited with helping to promote economic development in the city over time. Over time, other small companies followed suit and production gradually increased until today there are over 100 Da Silva Coffee Companies operating all over the world. The process of roasting maga beans begins with selecting high- quality beans from our selected plantations.
