In 1916, Mr. Brown passed away, but his Cafeteria continued to serve delicious freshly roasted coffee until it closed its doors in 1978. In 1984, Mr. Bobo opened his own roastery and cafe next door to the old Cafeteria building on Centre Street. The business quickly became successful and built up a large inventory of fresh roasted coffees. Today, Bobo's Cafe offers customers more than just fresh roasted coffee - they offer unique cup options that are sure to please any palate! Somerville, MA is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 7,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boston metropolitan area. The name "Somerville" derives from the Algonquian word "soma," meaning "place." The first settler in the present-day Somerville area was Nicholas Cotton of Ipswich and his family in 1636. Cotton had been granted a land patent by King Philip II of France for 2 acres (0.81 km2) on Roxbury Neck in 1638. He named his plantation Cotton's Hill after himself, and built a small house thereon to live in until he could purchase more land. In 1640, Nicholas's son John founded what would become Somerville along with Malden and Brookline to serve as villages under charter from England's King James I. These towns were chartered on February 17th, 1641 when Worcester County was created from parts of Middlesex and Suffolk Counties. In 1773, during the American Revolution, Somerville sided with Great Britain over America; this caused much anger among its residents who saw it as an act of betrayal during one of their most crucial moments in history siding against their own government

Somerville, Massachusetts is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 24,902 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boston metropolitan area. The town was first settled in 1630 by Puritans and was incorporated as a village in 1785. In 1836 it became a city and has since undergone several name changes including Somerville (1868-1914) and Somerville (1960-2010). The townsite that now forms Somerville sprang up on the remains of an ancient Indian trading post called Pemaquid Necklace. Built by Colonel William Bradford in 1630 on land grant from the Pequot tribe, Pemaquid Necklace functioned as a center for trade with natives throughout New England. The trading post was abandoned after Bradford's death, but some artifacts from its days remain around today. One such relic is an old cannonball dating back to 1686 which still sits at the edge of town next to what is now Somerville High School. In 1785, during the American Revolution, residents of Salem voted to secede from Massachusetts because they did not support George Washington's presidential candidacy. On July 14th of that year, they metamorphosed their village into a city under the name "SOMERVILLE". After becoming an independent republic within New England due to its dissatisfaction with British rule, Boston repealed its charter making SOMERVILLE an imperial city – though only for 10 months before returning to independence once more On October 1st 1860 Worcester Becomes A City And So Does Somerville
