The first grocery store and café were both located on Market Street in Revere. In 1865, Palermo Coffee Company was founded by Giuseppe Palermo and Angelo Rossi. The company operated out of a small building on Church Street. In 1927, the business was purchased by Harry Smith & Sons Coffee Corporation. The company operated until 1984 when it merged with Peet's Coffee Company. In 1978, Harry Smith & Sons sold its assets to Peet's Coffee Company for $2 million. At Peet's, gourmet coffee became an important part of the company culture and identitity. For most of its history, Peet's has been considered one of the leading gourmet coffee brands in the world. Today, Peet's operates over 1,500 cafes around the world under 12 different brand names including Dutch Bros., Pike Place Market, El Bulli CaféAmericano®, Blind Tiger Coffee Co., Four Barrel Coffee Roasters®, Peruvian Conejo & More* (*Peet’s closed all their stores worldwide in 2015)
Revere is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 6,847 at the 2010 census. It lies on the eastern edge of the Boston metropolitan area and its name comes from John Revere's ride from Cambridge to Plymouth on his horse "Plymouth" in 1720. The first European settlement in present-day Revere was by Pilgrims who arrived during the winter of 1621–1622. They built a small cabin near where Revere now stands. In 1724, Increase Mather, one of the founders of Harvard University, purchased land east of Revere for $5 per acre (the equivalent of about ). He named it "Mathers Grant", after himself and his father before him. Mather used part of this grant for building a college and another part for parish services. In 1767 he donated what is now called North Hall (now South Hall) to Harvard College as an endowment gift which continues to be supported by Harvard University today. The town began to grow rapidly when men started moving into it from nearby villages such as Bedford and Framingham after high-paying jobs opened up in Quincy and Worcester during the American Revolution. By 1825 there were over 1,000 residents living in Revere proper; by 1900 there were more than 4,000 people living hereabouts combined with businesses and farms scattered throughout Norfolk County. After several years of steady growth through much violence and turmoil that followed the Panic of 1837 (due largely to tariffs imposed by President James Kinsley), Revere reached its peak population size around 1800 with 7 churches, 135 houses (of which only 10 remain), 2 schools (one private), 12 taverns/gambling operations, 30 stores/importers/producers etc., 50 miles worth of railroad track including one serving Boston's warehouses at Wareham Harbor*, 100 miles worth of canal boats* (* Note: These figures do not include any square footage currently within modern day Revere). After decades lasting until World War II when most manufacturing shifted out to abroad due to technological advances US economic recovery stalled Since then things have gradually begun unraveling again with many factories closing down or moving away while new ones struggle to keep pace with changing global competition

Revere, MA is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 9,813 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1628 by Puritan settlers from Revere, England. It is named for Captain John Revere who fought in the American Revolution and died fighting for independence. The first permanent settler in Revere was Nicholas Prentis who arrived with his family in 1630. Another early settler was Thomas White who came to Revere from Ipswich, Suffolk, England in 1632. In 1638 Samuel Adams moved to Revere and became one of the first towns selectmen of Plymouth County. In 1768 Ebenezer Channing set up a gristmill on the river near present-day North Street and Center Avenue. In 1824 Andrew Eliot bought part of the rights to build a road through Plymouth County from General James Clarke and began construction of what is now Interstate 95. Eliot's mill continued to operate until it closed in 1922 due to damage caused by hurricanes Isaac and Sandy. During World War II many people worked at defense plants located throughout the area including Quincy Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company which built USS Constitution (the first U.S warship) as well as battleships USS Maine (Albany), USS Princeton (Newark), HMS Repulse (Dundee) and HMS Ark Royal(Kent). Additionally there were numerous small businesses such as Bendix Aircraft Corporation which manufactured bombers during WWII; Kapp Brothers Tire & Rubber Co., which made rubber boots during WWII; Hubbell Tractor Company which produced tractors during WWII; Beechcraft Aircraft Works Inc., which produced Boeing 727 jetliners during the Vietnam War; Globe Rubber Company Inc., which manufactured NOS sneakers for US troops during the Vietnam War; Hendrickson Paper Manufacturing Company Incorporated that produced paper products such as toilet paperduring peacetime until it folded around 1990
