She decommissioned at Norfolk, Virginia on November 3, 1905 and was transferred to the Boston Port Authority as part of their system of Harbor Defense Ships. She remained there until she was sold to Turkish shipping Line TCYAR in 1946. TCYAR renamed her "Tanrım Kültürleri" (Constantinople Naval Shipyard).
