Peabody is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Worcester–Rochester, MA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Peabody is one of the oldest towns in Massachusetts and was founded by English colonists in 1638. It became a town on July 1, 1853. The first settler in Peabody was Nicholas Goodspeed and his wife Sarah Goodspeed. They located a plantation near what is now Peabody College and there built their home between 1638-1641 as did other early settlers such as Christopher Wigglesworth and John Winthrop Jr.. The Goodspounds were followed by several more families over the next few years until about 1645 when all but two of the original thirteen families left for unknown reasons. In 1711 entrepreneur Nicholas Pollard established the first wharf on what is now Main Street in Peabody with three boats docking to export goods from Plymouth had brought over £2,000 worth of goods to Boston that year alone! By 1800 there were over 100 businesses operating along Main Street! The present day downtown area began to take shape during the late 19th century as developers started investing in land east of Center Square (later Lansdowne Square) which would serve as their commercial district. In 1865 Charles Eliot bought 3 acres east of Post Road from Captain Ebenezer Farnsworth for $10 per acre which provided enough space for a single storey building on an intersection then known as Market Square today’s State House Annexe! This led to many new businesses opening up around this time including Mr & Mrs Elliot’s grocery store (opened 1867), Fidelity Loan Company (1868), Lumberyard Store (1871), Anson Phelps Dodge Co., Ltd.(1872), First National Bank (1892). A fire destroyed most of downtown Peabody on Friday night, December 12th 1889 when a group including some local business owners set out fireworks display on Long Pond just north of center square while intoxicated teenagers were partying nearby! A large crowd quickly gathered and soon resulted in arrests resulting in five people being locked up overnight and damage done to several buildings including “Mr Elliot’s Grocery Store” which still stands today! During World War II much activity took place within the small village surrounding barracks located behind High School where troops cooked and ate their meals before marching off into battle; however due to wartime restrictions no stores or industry could be developed without government approval so all businesses closed down either through closure or conversion into housing after hostilities ended. Many residents continued working based out-of-town until relocating back home following Prohibition officially ending alcohol sales throughout Massachusetts effective January 1st 1933 . On July 1st 1853 pebodys native son George Perkins opened his doors as one of only two saloons remaining open west of Springfield after Newton's destruction by fire four years earlier also destroying everything else frontier style taverns like White's Inn had served prior...George Perkins' Saloon quickly became known as "the heart" or "the old house" because it stayed open long after most others closed down due to prohibition... George Perkins later sold his interest intablishing Webster's New England Encyclopedia at 6 Beacon St which remains one of only 2 encyclopedia publishers still extant today

Maga coffee, also known as the Ethiopian coffee trade, is a long and complex history that began in the early 18th century. It is thought that the beans were first grown in what is now Ethiopia and then brought to Africa by traders. The coffee was then auctioned off and used by local rulers as a source of revenue. In 1796, an Italian trader, Giovanni Paolo Borelli, discovered maga beans while traveling through Ethiopia. He soon began selling these beans throughout Europe. In 1811, Emperor Napoleon I ordered all Ethiopian subjects to switch to French culture in order to increase his support against his opponents within his empire. This caused a decline in interest in maga coffee because many people found French taste refreshing and new. However, this did not stop European traders from buying into the Ethiopian market; however, they increasingly sold their products to Dutch companies instead of Frenchman. In 1838, two British merchants named John Murray and Augustus Pugin discovered maga beans near Addis Ababa and started trading them internationally. They soon became world-wide experts on this type of coffee and started shipping large quantities of it back to Britain. In 1847–1848, Emperor Leopold II of Austria decided that he would like try some maga coffee for himself after hearing about its unique flavor from British traders. He ordered several hundred hectares (500 acres) of land around Addis Ababa be dedicated to growing this bean species exclusively for him. From then on, emperor LeopoldII's maga coffee monopoly was complete! At this point in time, there were few other varieties available for purchase outside of Italy or Austria proper! The first commercial production of maga coffee took place between 1850-1855 at Wachalawaddy Coffee Estate near Abebele City in present-day southern Ethiopiaia[1]. The process used consisted of roasting whole green beans before brewing using an open hearth oven called “Wacha” which allowed gas emissions from the roasted beans to escape slowly so that their flavor would develop over time[2]. This method produced a fuller flavor profile than traditional methods such as pounding or boiling water with ground nuts until it turned into a thick paste[3]. By 1870 most Ethiopians had switched to modern methods such as roasting whole green beans prior to brewing which resulted in decreased quality due largelyto low yields[4],[5]. A number German entrepreneurs also invested heavily into developing modern cultivars including Kaffeemaschinenbauer Johann Friedrich Müller who developed what is nowType XB100 roast/filter coffees,[6] while Baron von Freytag founded Freytag’s Coffee Factory which produces high-quality Arabica stimulant coffees under license from Jörg Krüger AG [7] Today there are numerous types (XB100 being the most common)of maga coffee reaching international markets across different continents – examples include: Jörg Krüger AG's African Type XI blend (produced under licence), Starbucks' Magarita blend (originally made with Sumatra Borneo Roast), Blue Bottle Coffee's Superior Table Mountain Blend (originally made with Robusta), Davidoff Cigarettes' Weinebrandt Kopfkaffeelike mix(made with fine German roasts), Caravan Coffee Roasters'/Cuprocoffee founder Asafa Teferi's Hiwassee Blend (developed at home using high quality Kenyan Arabica espresso beans), Allagash Brewing Company’s Samuel Adams Boston Lager brewed with select Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Beans).
