In 1937, The Peabody family sold their brewery business to Joseph Hooker Associates who then produced cigarettes under the brands Camel cigarettes and Lark cigarettes before being acquired by Philip Morris USA in 1986 which merged with British American Tobacco plc (BAT) creating Altria Group Incorporated (formerly Philip Morris USA). After years of product changes within Altria Group Incorporated related to tobacco regulation – most notably Brown & Williamson’s acquisition of Marlboro cigarette manufacturing rights – Marlboro cigarettes became part of Altria Group Incorporated itself upon BAT’s transaction with Brown & Williamson expiration date on August 17th 2016 having been fully owned by BAT since 1986- making them one company once again! Consequently brownie points go towards BAT for that! It wasn’t until about 1990 that Dunkin Donuts Corporation (Dunkin'Donuts) entered into Coffee County via their purchase of Holland America Line's Cafeteria chain located primarily in New England/RI area - making Dunkin'Donuts another local player - leading eventually to franchising throughout Northeastern MA/NH states thru out much of Canada thruout their empire! And finally after nearly 25 years...the popular donut hole chain JD's Restaurants re-entered MA markets thru out NH/ME priorities over JR's longest stay afloat only last year!! What a lengthy history indeed eh?!

North Adams, Massachusetts is a town in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 22,816 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boston–Cambridge–New York metropolitan area. North Adams is named after Samuel Adams, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The town was founded in 1792 by Increase Mather and others as a small settlement on Massasoit Creek near modern-day Quincy. In 1795, when North Adams became part of Massachusetts as part of its western boundary with New York City, it also became home to the first state prison in America. The town has been known for its fertile land and wide variety of crops since colonial times. Today's farmers are still proud to produce such foods as apples, onions, potatoes and corn. A number of businesses continue to operate in NorthAdams today including a bank (JPMorgan Chase), several clothing stores (Wisdomwear Inc., The Limited), a grocery store (PepsiCo) and two professional sports teams (Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots). According to the 2010 US Census Bureau estimate,[1] there were 22,816 people living in NorthAdams over age 18 who identified themselves as "Hispanic or Latino." This made up 9% of all inhabitants in this community; however, since 2006[2], Hispanic or Latino residents have constituted 21% of all NorthAdams citizens.[3] Asians make up 1%of total population while whites make up 74% overall.[4]

The town of North Adams, Massachusetts was formed in 1792 by the merger of two other towns, Northampton and Adams. The first store in the town was built on Main Street in 1793. In 1824, the town had a population of only 100 people. However, it quickly became one of the most important towns in central Massachusetts due to its location and its commerce. In 1830, North Adams became part of what is now Springfield Township. However, because it had such an insignificant population, NorthAdams never received any government services or tax dollars from Springfield Township. In 1837, the town voted to become an independent village and began receiving government services from Springfield Township. By 1850, there were over 1,000 people living in NorthAdams and it had become one of the most thriving villages in central Massachusetts. In 1865, after a referendum by residents asking for separation from Springfield Township due to their increasing population density (the village grew rapidly due to its location), NorthAdams voted to secede from Springfield Township and become an independent city under its own government with its own taxes and elected officials.
