Melrose is a town in Melrose County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 2,849 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boston metropolitan area. The land that became Melrose was first settled by the Wampanoag people in 1636. The first settler in what would become Melrose was John Winthrop, who arrived in 1641 and built a house on the lot that now houses the Town Hall. By 1785, there were over 100 residents living in what would become Melrose. In 1814, an act passed by the Massachusetts General Court granted a charter to build a school for poor students in what would become downtown Melrose. In 1825, a post office called "Melrose" was established here; it continued service until 1959. Downtown Melrose still has its original architecture and attractions including: The State House (built 1824), Meeting House (1828), Masonic Lodge No. 1 ( Built 1838 ), Presbyterian Church (1875), and First Congregational Church (1901). There are also several excellent restaurants located near Downtownmelroe such as The Grille or Taverna Vecchia which offer delicious Italian-American cuisine; Eataly located just east of downtown; and JP's Pizza & Pasta which offers homemade pizza from scratch with fresh ingredients daily!

In that moment, a group of coffee roasters and farmers banded together to form the National Coffee Association (NBCA). The NBCA was formed in order to promote and defend American-made coffee products as well as provide certification for these products. At that time, there were only a handful of small artisanal coffee roasters in America. However, over time, this number has grown significantly due to the popularity of artisanal coffee and the growth of specialty coffee markets around the world. One of the earliest pioneers in terms of starting up an artisanal coffee company was Don Freeman at Don Freeman Coffee & Cafe in Seattle. Freeman started out making single origin roasted beans from his own farm on Mercer Island. He served his customers hand-rollediplexed espresso drinks made from whole bean Java beans. These days, many people know about Don Freeman thanks to his memoir Coffee: A Very Personal History which was published in 2006 and continues to be reprinted today. In subsequent years, other small businesses followed suit and began producing their own unique cups of java. One such business is Joe's Café located in Chelsea, New York City which has been operating since 1978! Joe's Café produces USDA certified organic espresso drinks made from whole beans sourced from local farms throughout Central America and South America! This type of approach to brewing provides a much higher quality cup than what you would find at most Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks locations! Melrose was a town in Massachusetts that was founded in 1795 by Increase Mather and others. The town became a popular place for people to live, work, and raise their families. The Melrose School District was established in 1907 and has been around since then. In 1927, the town voted to become an independent city.

Melrose is a town in western Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boston–Cambridge-Newton, MA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to visit what is now Melrose was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524 on his exploratory voyage along the coast of modern day Maine. He named it "Verrazzano" after himself and noted that it was on a sound he had found while sailing up the coast of modern day New England. In 1638, during King James I's English Civil War, General Nathaniel Bacon bought 1,200 acres (500 ha) of land in present-day Melrose from Nicholas Goodrich for £480 pounds sterling and built a mill there which still stands today known as Goodrich's Mill. In 1713 John Eliot purchased 2,000 acres (800 ha) of land north of present day Melrose from Nicholas Goodrich for £1,000 sterling and soon began to build what would become Eliot House. In 1742 Reverend Samuel Sewall moved into Salem House which he had built for himself near wherepresent day Eliot House now stands and became one of the most influential men in early America due to his work with refugees from Great Britain after their defeat at Quebec in 1759. In 1814 Captain Elijah Smith arrived at Whatcom Headwaters following an expedition led by Governor John Quincy Adams to explore the Northwest Passage. A post office called "Milton" was established at Melrose in 1826; it changed its name to "Boston" in 1881.

In 1830 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote about living around Milton station when he visited Massachusetts for the first time; this included going horseback riding over "the highroad leading through these woods". After Longfellow's visit two years later some settlers platted a township committee area around what is now Melrose including parts of present-day Boston

In 1840 Increase Mather founded Harvard University nearby at Cambridgeport.

On July 26th 1860 Lexington lawyer Edward Everett Hale announced plans for a large new town center being planned downtown on Reservoir Street between Boylston Street and State Street – as part of an effort by city fathers to move away from rural areas towards more developed suburbs

On January 14th 1861 ownership passed from Isaiah Dexter Stanton Jr., grandson of founder Isaiah Dexter Stanton Sr., to Worcester Corporation Commissioners who renamed it "Worcester." This change took place despite objections by local citizens because they wanted their municipality back called 'Melrose'

On October 25th 1871 construction started on North Station Square – also known as South Station Square or Park Square – which would house both the Post Office and all public services within the town center including schools, churches, businesses and residences

When Worcester incorporated as a city on April 20th 1903 everything within its limits became subject to city ordinances with one exception: The village (and parish)of West Roxbury remained unincorporated until that date.
