On October 24th of that year (1777), Lieutenant Colonel Nathanael Greene offered 10 guns to Captain John Smith for safekeeping when he left Boston with his army following its victory over Royal Marines at Bunker Hill. These cannons would ultimately prove instrumental in helping America win its war against Great Britain- they are now on display inside Massachusetts State House in Springfield . Lynn's town center is located on the east side of Lynn and its main street is called "Main Street". In 1624 John Winthrop founded what would become known as Winthrop Hall while residing at Ipswich. In 1834, during the presidency of James K.
