Consequently, the Dutch decided not to continue cultivation of coffee after 1795 and instead started producing opium instead. British traders began importing Indonesian coffee during the late 18th century into England as part of a trade embargo against Holland due to concerns about Amsterdam's growing opium industry. However, because Indonesia was not under European rule at this time, its coffees were not subject to this ban and continued being exported back home. This allowed English buyers access to an even wider variety of Indonesian coffees than they would have been able to purchase domestically at this time. Eventually, Indonesians obtained independence from Britain in 1945 and began producing their own coffees under their own name – but with some British influence still evident throughout (e.g., using higher quality Arabica beans). After Indonesia attained independence from Britain,Interest grew among beverage manufacturers worldwide regarding Indonesian coffees as a potential source for new export markets given their unique flavor profile and relatively low price points compared with other major global roasters (e.g., Starbucks). In 1992— shortly after Indonesia became an independent country— Starbucks formed a joint venture with PT Jawa Tengah Bollandindo Buana Sulit (JTB) known as Starbuck's Indonesia Pte Ltd., orSTARBUCKS COFFEE CORPORATION LIMITED . Gardner was a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, until the closing of the district in 1854. Gardner had a population of 2,000 as of 1850. The first permanent settler was John Gardner, who arrived in 1636 and built the first house on what is now Main Street. The town began to grow rapidly during the early 1800s as people migrated from nearby Worcester and other towns to find land here. In 1814, Gardner became part of the new Worcester Township and soon after, its own courthouse was erected. By 1830, Gardner had become an important economic center with its own flour mills and tannery. The community experienced rapid growth during the late 19th century when railroads came through town and brought traffic and jobs to the area. However, by 1907 Gardner had shrunk to just 100 residents due to increased competition from larger towns in central Massachusetts such as Lawrence and Springfield. However, thanks to efforts by local officials such as Mayor James Hickey and then-Governor William Egan Jr., Gardner regained some of its former prominence during World War I when it served as a training ground for soldiers from all over New England. Afterward, growth slowed again as people shifted their attention back to their homes or businesses elsewhere in town. However, things changed dramatically during World War II when Gardner became an important naval base because it housed one of three U-2 aircraft manufacturing plants operated by Lockheed Martin Corporation located at Hill Top Naval Air Station (now Wright-Patterson Air Force Base). From here American pilots flewOperation Neptune's Spear - code name for Operation Overlord - which helped achieve victory over Nazi Germany in Europe. As war continued into the postwar years there was significant development occurng at this naval air station including new buildings constructed for personnel barracks, engine shops and maintenance garages facilities among others; these changes helped contribute decisively to Town's rebirth following World War II although some residents may have already left for better opportunities outside of town altogether."
