The Marine Corps deploys gift history in Easthampton, Massachusetts every year. This tradition begins with the MarinesRecognizing members of the military and their families who have served. From there, it continues with a variety of services and events that celebrate military appreciation month. The most recent event was the Marines National Day parade on July 4th.
The Marine Corps Deployed Gift Program is a unique way for Marines to show their support of the troops overseas. The program allows Marines to send gifts that are customized and/or special-ordered by the troop unit they are deployed with. The Marines can also choose to send gift baskets filled with local food, supplies, or tools. In addition, the Marine Corps has announced that from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017, it will be offering a free $50 gift card to all active duty members who make a purchase at participating stores.
The Marines of the Easthampton Naval Militia deployed in Gift History in 1775. The first Marine Regiment was raised on December 12, 1775 at Easthampton by Captain John Glover and Lieutenant Samuel Morse. The regiment was organized on January 1, 1776 and sailed for Boston Harbor on January 25,1776 embarked with General Gage's army under Lt. Colonel John Adams to protect the British fleet off Charlestown. On February 5 they relieved the First Massachusetts Regiment in that engagement and then participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill. They disembarked their marines at Breed's Hill after the battle to take care of wounded soldiers. Aftermath of that battle they arrived back at Portsmouth on April 14th where they began construction of Fort George but were soon ordered to return home due to lack of supplies and recruits. In 1802 a second Marine Regiment was raised at Easthampton by Commodore Amos Whitehead with assistance from Rear Admiral David Dixon Porter Jr.. The regiment sailed for Cuba on October 10, 1802 and landed near Santiago de Cuba on November 3rd under command of Commodore William Parker with 1st Battalion (Midshipmen) and 2nd Battalion (Marines) attached to USS Constitution carrying munitions, military stores, food for troops ashore, tents for officers and artillery pieces brought aboard as part of a naval convoy led by Commodore Porter. That operation resulted in two engagements against Spanish ships off Guantanamo Bay which resulted in captured artillery pieces being taken back across Guanabara Bay before returning home without loss or damage The Marines fought during both Seminole Wars (1835-1843) A third Marine Regiment was raised at Easthampton between 1850-1855 by Commodore Charles Sperry who also received funding from Ulysses S Grant through his secret project known as "The New York Project". That regiment served during the Mexican War (1846-1848). It disembarked its Marines at San Diego Island on September 16th following an engagement against Mexican forces trying to cross into California
Easthampton is a town in the northern Massachusetts district of North Adams. As of the 2010 census, its population was 14,539. The racial makeup of Easthampton is 94% white, 2% black or African American, 1% Native American, and 1% from other races. Easthampton was founded in 1635 by Puritan settlers from England as a small settlement on the banks of the South Branch of the River Merrimack. It became an incorporated town in 1825 and again in 1896. The town has a rich history that can be found throughout its residents and businesses. The first settler to arrive in what is now Easthampton was John Winthrop who arrived with his family in 1635. Soon after, others followed including Gideon Leach who arrived in 1638 and his son Nathaniel who came two years later. By 1600, there were over 100 English families living in Easthampton according to one source. Many natives also immigrated to America during this time including many Quakers who fled religious persecution back home in Great Britain. In 1764, John Eliot donated land to help build a church which was dedicated on October 8 that year by Governor John Dunster Jr.. In 1825 Easthampton incorporated as an official town under the leadership of Mayor James Davenport III. During that year too, Easthampton saw heavy flooding which caused some damage but did not cause any loss or injury like so many other similar events that occurred around that time across America due to drought conditions at the time. -As an incorporated town easthanpton experienced growth with new business owners coming into existence such as breweries (Plymouth Brewery being one), real estate developers (such as George Romney & Son), teachers (such as Mr./Mrs./Dr.) Isaac Backus and Mrs./Mr./Dr.), bankers (such as Jno.[? Brown]), merchants (including Noah Webster), physicians (such as Drs.] William Cullen Bryant and Jonathan Edwards) among others -Under Mayor James Davenport III’s leadership Easthampton experienced major reconstruction efforts following devastating floods two years prior which had left much damage along with many lost lives -During Mayor Davenport’s tenure there were several public works projects undertaken such as creation of a water system/pump station, renovation/construction of various homes/businesses along with resurfacing roadsides etc., among others

Easthampton, Massachusetts is a town in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 12,811 at the 2010 census. Easthampton is home to the Easthampton Correctional Facility and the Easthampton slaughterhouse. The town was founded in 1796 by Richard Mead and Jedediah Smith as a small farming community on the east side of the Ossipee River. In 1800, John Adams moved his household from North Chelmsford to Easthampton and became its first mayor. In 1802, Quincy Goodyear began production of rubber tappers shoes at his farm near present-day Bethlehem. Rubber production grew rapidly in America during this time and helped give rise to American industry as a whole. By 1860, over 50% of all Americans produced goods made from rubber. In 1865-1866, General Philip Sheridan led an army that marched through Massachusetts against Confederate forces under Robert E Lee and destroyed much of what remained of Boston's textile industry including the mills in Easthampton which gave rise to local nickname "The Gloomy Day Of November". After Sheridan's victory over the Confederates at Appomattox Court House he ordered all factories closed because they were considered strategic targets for Confederate troops marching southward towards New York City. This event is often cited as one reason why American manufacturing fell behind European Union growth during World War II. After World War II, many factory jobs were lost due to automation but there has been recent resurgence with new companies starting up in the area such as Google which built its headquarters here in 2009
Easthampton, Massachusetts was first settled in the area that is now Easthampton by Puritans in 1638. The town was named for the home of Reverend John Eastham, a Congregational minister. In 1795, Easthampton became part of Springfield Township. In 1836, the township was divided into two parts and Easthampton became part of what is now Somerville.
