The Schultz family ran the store for over seventy years, until Harry passed away in 2009. During that time, they consistently placed high value on quality and freshness when it came to their coffee products. In addition to their grocery store business, Harry also operated a café called "Harry's Café" in downtown Agawam from 1923-1929. The café was known for its fantastic cup of coffee and amazing view of the river. It is estimated that around 2,000 people visited Harry's Café each month during its heyday. In 1946, while working at his grocery store again, Mr. Schulz decided to open a second location near the town square in order to continue providing excellent customer service as well as help promote local businesses within the town. This second store eventually became known as "Schultz's Place." Over the years, Schultz's Place has continued to be a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike because of its great selection of local produce along with delicious brewed coffee made by hand right here in Agawam!

Agawam is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,921 at the 2010 census. It lies on the southern edge of South Amherst and is bordered to the north by North Amherst and to the east by South Amherst. The earliest record of Agawam is from 1630 when it was part of Ipswich. It was chartered as a town on April 12, 1753. The first settler in Agawam was Abraham Smith who arrived in 1755. In 1814, David Rice moved from Norwich toAgawam and built the first store there. The first post office opened in 1816. In 1827, John Davenport patented 6 square miles (15 km²) of land extending into Hampshire County for £2 per acre ($4/km²). This area became known as "Davenport's Land". A mill creek named after him flowed through Agawam until it reached the Merrimack River near Bedford, Massachusetts in 1902. One important event that took place during this time period happened when George Washington came to visit for three days during his stay at Mount Vernon on October 27-29, 1799. He stayed at what is now called White Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa (now Old State House), next door to where Congregational meeting house No 2 stands today (the original building burned down in 1800). When he left after dinner on October 29th he walked directly across Appleton Street from White Sulphur Springs Resort all the way down into town which later became State Road 9W or Route 128... so you can imagine how busy we must have been! His horse and baggage were brought back into town by oxcart! On November 3rd President Adams made an appearance at a General Court Meeting held at No 4 Congregation Haverhill Village -Old State House- with entertainment provided by Mr Knowlton who played Drums without any sort of musicians being hired because Congress had only granted money for such things one week prior! And here’s something else interesting about that day –All roads leading out of town were closed off by militia leaden hoops with large “X”s all around them making it very difficult for anyone trying to leave or enter without getting arrested! We thought this was ⅔ century ago when our Grandma used to tell us about it! Anyway back home we went liveblogging our little show but I think you get my point ;)
