There is no doubt that Rockville, Maryland has long been a center of coffee production. In fact, the city was once home to two major coffee roasting companies- Peet's Coffee and Robusto Coffee. Both companies were founded in the late 1800s and continue to produce high quality coffee today. The first coffee producer in Rockville was The Roasters of America, which began operations in 1912. The company continued to grow and produce quality beans until it was sold to Peet's Coffee in 1971. At that time, Peet's became one of the largest and most influential coffee producers in the world. In recent years, other significant coffee producers have begun to make their mark on the Rockville community. One such company is Koffee Klatch, which began operations in 2014 and produces some of the best-quality coffees around. Koffee Klatch is also headquartered within walking distance of many popular cafes and restaurants in Rockville!

Coffee first came to Rockville from Holland in the early 1800s. A Dutch Schultz founded a coffee house in 1792 in what is now called Lombard Street. The first Starbucks location opened in 2006 on Lombard Street.
Rockville is a town in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. The population was 21,811 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of Montgomery County and home to Rockville Centre mall. The town was founded on December 6, 1795 by General John Armstrong and his men as "Armstrong's Mills". In 1798, the name was changed to "Rockville" after Col. George Washington's headquarters during the American Revolution. When Montgomery County was created in 1821, Rockville became its seat. The first store in Rockville opened in 1824. In 1865, General Ulysses S Grant's army crossed the Potomac River and occupied what is now Rockville Center while they were making their way back to Washington D.C.. Afterward, most of Rockville Center became part of Bethesda Township which later merged into Prince George's County. Although not located within today's boundaries of Montgomery County or Prince George's County when it formed from those counties in 1865-1867 (it did not include present day Bowie or Fredericktown), much of what is now downtown Bethesda and some neighborhoods including East Falls Church remain within our borders where they are still known as "rockville". Today much of downtown Bethesda remains an open-air shopping center with high-end retailers such as Macy's and Sears; however there has also been recent development including apartments above Macy's that have brought more business to downtown than retail storefronts could ever hope to support alone. There are plans for a new large office park that would encompass much of Downtown Bethesda with anchor tenants like Amazon and Microsoft among others

Over time, different methods of roasting became popular and eventually led to the development of different types of coffee beans-Arabica, Robusta, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, etc. The early days of coffee production were difficult because there was little variety available. But with the development of technology and better transportation systems, moreand more farmers began planting Coffee bushes. By 1855, Coffee had reached America and was being sold in grocery stores across the country. In 1915, Roasters decided to form their own cooperative which led to increased quality control and innovation in coffee production techniques. Today’s high-quality coffee products are thanks to advances in science and technology as well as years of experience from our roasters who continue striving for excellence in every step of the process from planting to drinking!
In the late 1700s, coffee beans were hand-picked and roasted in small batch by a team of farmers in Indonesia. The first Coffee Bean Roasters was founded in 1976 in Seattle, Washington by American expatriate Bruce Randolph and his friend James Andrews. In 1978, The Daily Kos ran an article about how great coffee was being made but nobody knew where to buy it because of import restrictions. In 1980, a group of independent cuppers decided to start their own roastery on 5th Avenue in downtown Manhattan. At that time, coffee was still mostly purchased fresh from the farmer.
Rockville is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 15,737 at the 2010 census. The town is located on the northern border of Washington D.C., and is about 20 minutes from the city center. Rockville was first settled by English colonists in 1676 and has been known as "The Village" since its beginnings. It became part of Washington D.C. after it was annexed by the city in 1871. In 1928, Rockville merged with neighboring Takoma Park to form one large municipality and have continued to grow ever Since then! Rockville began as a small farming community that grew up around two churches: First Presbyterian Church and Second Baptist Church both which were built in 1789 on land donated by Colonel John Smith who also founded Takoma Park in 1827. The village had a total population of only 100-150 people when it started growing rapidly due to its location close to transportation hubs including Harpers Ferry Road and Frederick Douglass Boulevard (now Interstate 66). In 1928, when Rockville merged with neighboring Takoma Park to become one larger municipality, residents voted overwhelmingly to name their new city after General Robert E Lee – an event that helped Solidarity Movement gain momentum across America during the Great Depression era! After years of planning and hard work by Mayor James Wetherbee and City Council members, construction began on what would eventually become one of Rockville’s most iconic landmarks –Lee Street – just three months after the merger! Since then, Rockville has grown even more popular among commuters who can easily access everything central DC has to offer without leaving their living rooms!
