Greenbelt is a small city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 17,744 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Eastern edge of Baltimore City and bordered by Calvert County to the north, Harford County to the east, Anne Arundel County to the south, and Montgomery County to the west. The name "Greenbelt" comes from two words: "greens" meaning vegetation and "belt" meaning area or tract. The land that now makes up Greenbelt was first settled by farmers in 1827-28. By 1840, over 100 homes had been built there and it was known as a farming community with anvils still being used for striking nails. In 1867, a railroad line entered Greenbelt through present day downtown and it quickly became a transportation center for local farmers as well as shoppers coming into town for goods from surrounding counties. In 1907-08 when Baltimore City annexed much of what is now eastern Prince George's County (including parts of Montgomery and Harford Counties), Greenbelt remained unincorporated. However, because it lay inside ofBaltimoreCity limits at that time (!), residents received no benefits from this annexation - until 1955 when they were given voting rights within BaltimoreCity proper via rezoning under then Mayor William Dixon's plan which also eliminated streetcar service within city limits. It wasn't until after World War II that commercial development really began to occur in earnest in what is today Greenbelt thanks in part to federal housing projects developments such as Hunt Valley Farms (now suburban Catonsville) which opened in 1950 followed by many other larger businesses across town over ensuing decades culminating with today's concentration of high tech startups located just off I-95 between Johns Hopkins University Hospital & LightHouse Point Park

In 1892, Giovanni Battista Perugini developed a French pressurized espresso machine that became known as the Opus Dei Machine because its creator belonged to the Italian Catholic religious order Opus Dei. Thus, Italy had two excellent sources for quality roasted coffee beans at this point: Africa and Europe. Coffee beans became more expensive due to this increased demand but also gained some notoriety due to their traditional heritage and unique flavors. Consequently, many gourmet cafes across different parts of the world started carrying Ethiopian or French presseslliked Il Tappeto machines as well as other similar machines made by various manufacturers during this time period (Espinosa 1995).Priority shifted from roasting quality over taste when developing industrialized countries like America shifted focus towards agricultural production which led directly into higher prices for coffees (Goudreau 2000). However, technological advances have since changed all that; now premium grade Ethiopian coffees are available at much lower prices around the world thanks largely to advances in technology (eBay 2002).
