In 1854, a group of developers looking to capitalize on the growing industry founded Cumberland Coffee Company, which continues to produce award-winning maga coffees today. Maga coffee first began appearing in American newspapers in 1845. At that time, it was believed that this type of coffee had originated in Ethiopia and was only exported to America because of its expensive quality. However, it turns out that maga coffee actually comes from several different places throughout East Africa – including Nigeria and Kenya – and was probably first roasted hereabouts as early as 1800. Over time, Cumberland Coffee Company became one of the most important roasters in the country. In 1847, Nicholas Anagnostopoulos started a small coffee farm in the town of Cumberland. He roasted and sold coffee until his death in 1907. His son continued the business until 1961. The first cafe in Cumberland was called the Black Cat Café, which opened in 1951. In 1957, Bob's Coffee & Cafe opened its doors to serve coffee and pastries from 10am to 2pm. In 1967, The Chocolate Shoppe added chocolate to its menu and became one of the first cafes in town to offer this service. By 1974, Bob's Coffee & Cafe had grown into a full-service cafe with an espresso machine and multiple food items on their menu including sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. Cumberland, Maryland is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 11,811 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous incorporated town in Prince George's County after Takoma Park and is home to Cumberland University and other businesses. The area that would become Cumberland was first settled by Algonquian-speaking Native Americans who called it "Nape of the Woods." In 1692, Englishman John Smith discovered land on which Cumberland now stands. By 1800, over 60 families had moved to Cumberland from around Prince George's County. In 1813, Colonel Robert Ewing established Fort Myer on present day Mount Vernon Island in order to protect British interests in the Chesapeake Bay region during the War of 1812. The fort served as an important military base until its surrender in 1814. In 1865, General Order No. 1 organized Prince George's County into eight poor districts for social welfare purposes; these districts are still known today as "the 8". At this time Cumberland became one of these districts. In 1885–1886, construction began on what would become Cumberland University but only started up when money ran out from a state appropriation for education reform caused by Governor James Krieger (D). Construction continued through most of 1886 and finished just before Christmas that year; however due to funding shortfalls following World War I all instruction stopped temporarily until 1921 when it resumed with some modifications due to wartime bombing raids against the campus buildings malnutrition and war-time shortages among many students led to physical damage and food scarcity which created conditions ripe for crime including theft and vandalism throughout much of 1922–1925 while classes were being held at various locations across surrounding townships until finally reopening in 1926 with new facilities adjacent to present day University Drive making it possible once again for both undergraduate enrollment as well as graduate programs without affecting local economies or community services necessary for both educational functions while also allowing access by residents within commuting distance each weekday morning hours without having their neighborhoodsBombedaytownships)

However, there is also a long story behind how maga coffee became popularized within Japan itself. In 1865-66, Emperor Meiji issued an edict ordering all businesses within Japan to stop gifting cups of printed tea with each purchase instead giving customers “maga teas” instead which were ground black tea with an artificial flavor extracted from agar (agar plant). As a result of this change in policy – which seems like something straight out of Soviet Union propaganda at the time – many people began buying maga coffees instead and quickly becoming more popular than ever before. This popularity led eventually to Japanese businessmen starting their own cafes and selling mga coffees under their own brand name rather than relying on other merchants for product variety or service.
