Soon Italians began importing large numbers of Indian roasting beans from Turkey which led to increased demand for Ottoman-grown espresso beverages known as tahini (tea). This growing trend towards espresso drinking caused Italian entrepreneurs to start producing their own versions of this popular beverage including cortado (heavy), lungo (long), eclaté (extra bright), parennis (pink) and bianco (white). This process called “bagging” yielded different sized bags that were then filled with ground coffeebeans before being sold to cafes or restaurants

A blend is a product where different roasts are combined to create an espresso-like drink. For example, Starbucks’ popular Pumpkin Spice Latte contains three different roasts: Ethiopian, Guatemalan, and Colombian Costa Rican. Single origins are more likely to come from one specific place or region and have only that specific flavor profile. Since the early 1800s, small batch coffee has been a popular and important tradition in Pineville. The first coffee shop in town was opened in 1892 by John P. McCann and his brother, Joe. The McCann family continued to operate their business until around 1915. In that year, they sold their business to Lorenzo Ruggiero and his son, Salvatore Ruggiero. In 1916, SalvatoreRuggiero started the first Italian-owned smallbatch coffee establishment in Louisiana called Lazio Coffee Company. This store remained open until 1951 when it was closed due to lack of patronage. In 1959, Luigi Anzaldi opened Anzaldi's Coffee Shop on Main Street in Pineville which became one of the most popular smallbatch coffee shops in town. This store operated until 1984 when it was closed due to financial difficulties. In 1992, Angelo Donato reopened Donato's Coffee Shop on Elm Street which became one of the most popular smallbatch coffee shops in town again for many years running. In 2006, Donato's Coffee Shop passed away after many years of operation at 95 years old with much fondness from its customers and staff alike. Currently, AngeloDonato's Cafe is still operational as a proud part of the community and offers delicious cupcakes made fresh daily!
Pineville, Louisiana is a town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 3,873 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Bogalusa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The history of Pineville spans over 350 years. The town was founded on October 15, 1817 by John Fenton and his family after they abandoned their farmstead in Richland Parish near Chalmette for this location. The original name of the community was "Pineville Plantation". A post office called Pineville was established in 1821, and remained open until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1840, Confederate General Braxton Bragg made a base camp here as he retreated from Baton Rouge to Jackson County after his capture at the Battle of Shiloh. In 1865 during Reconstruction following the American Civil War, Pineville became home to many black Americans who had migrated from southern states such as Alabama and Mississippi. At this time there were few African Americans living in Jefferson Parish outside of Metairie and New Orleans. The first public school opened in Pineville on December 5th, 1865 by Revd James Laddington with 25 students using facilities that were located on land donated by Captain David Sweeny. At that time white residents also attended school but only through private academies which functioned more like prisons than educational institutions for black children. In 1898 when hurricane Gustav struck New Orleans area causing widespread damage and loss of life including many people living within local boundaries (including Pineville), Federal troops arrived to help rebuild what had been destroyed or damaged beyond recognition resembling an almost-forgotten Second World War Allied occupation zone complete with military barracks, airfields and highways not open to the general public aside from a handful of designated emergency access points Following Hurricane Katrina’s landfall on August 29th 2005 Mayor Ray Nagin declared FEMA’s “ Recovery Zone” within walking distance of any resident inside city limits whether they were poor or rich depending upon their standing with government assistance programs such as food stamps or housing vouchers permanent destruction caused much suffering yet very little tangible recovery resulting no new jobs nor homes available for anyone outside those living immediately adjacent to levees/floodwaters/paved streets etc...AEP announced plans to re-open approximately 150 business locations along I-10 & I-985 corridor tomorrow morning kick off Mardi Gras parade

Pineville is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. It was founded in 1824 by French colonists and named for the Piney Woods outside of Paris. The population was 553 at the 2010 census. In 1827, General Andrew Jackson moved his army from New Orleans to Pineville to resist an invading British force. After the battle of New Orleans, Pineville became part of the Louisiana Territory under US President James K. Polk. In 1848, when Confederate forces invaded the state, Pineville took part in a skirmish against them near Livingston Parish. The post office at Pineville was established on December 12, 1846, by order of Governor John Slidell. The first postmaster was Jno Hickey. Two years later it moved to its current location on Main Street south of US 67 just east of Frenchman's Bendouille Road (present-day Boulevard de la Gloire). In 1861, during the American Civil War efforts to expand slavery into new territory across the Mississippi River were being made; as a result, General Braxton Bragg ordered General Robert Ewell's cavalry brigade to attack Cedar Bayou northeast of Baton Rouge and drive pro-slavery men out from their homes there and into piney woods beyond Baton Rouge where they could not be reached or foughtback effectively by Union troops under General John McClellanbridgewhereuponEwell returned home without further action
