The United States Air Force has a long and rich history of gifting. Gifts have been given from individuals, groups, and even the military to support the AF through different eras. The earliest gift was given in 1919 when Major General Edward "Tubby" Smith gave a $2,000 check to the AF for research on jet propulsion. In 1951, Colonel John Doolittle presentedAF with an American F-86 Sabre as a gift for its 50th anniversary. From then until 2006, gifts were given on an annual basis at Air Force Day (July 4). In 2006, the USAF decided to give out individual gifts every year instead of annually throughout the years. This change allowed more people to participate in giving back to the AF and helped make 2007 the Year of Giving Back. As part of this event, each branch of service hosted its own gala fundraiser in honor of donors who have made significant contributions over time. These events help build relationships between service members and their donors while raising money for causes close to their hearts. One popular donation drive is The Americal Defense League's GiveBack campaign which helps families affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes or floods during hurricane season. For example, Hurricane Katrina Affected New Orleans took up almost one third of all GiveBack donations received in 2005; yet less than 1% went towards relief efforts! In response to these issues and others facing our nation dueto global events such as terrorism or climate change, many members within Congress are advocating for stronger national security spending that can be funded without taking away from other important priorities like education and infrastructure repairs!

The first giveaway was an F-86 Sabre jet fighter airplane donated by Boeing to the USAF in 1948. Other giveaways followed, such as helicopters, tactical bombers, and missiles. Today, the USAF gift program continues to be a popular source of donations from individuals and businesses across the country. Eunice is a small village located in the parish of Carondelet, Louisiana, United States. The population was 522 at the 2000 census. Eunice is part of the Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Eunice was James Russell, who arrived in 1794. He and his family were followed by John Ross from Scotland in 1800. In 1812, General Andrew Jackson's army passed through Carondelet on their way to battle against Napoleon Bonaparte. As they passed by, General Jackson ordered one of his officers to stop and sell him a Winchester rifle for $5. Eunice officially became a town on July 1, 1818 when it was annexed by Shreveport. It had a population of just under 100 people when it merged with neighboring towns Ball & Berryville on February 3, 1895 On November 6, 1865 Union soldiers burned down the courthouse and jail which had been built around 1835 by Judge Elijah Parish Balmes Jr.. The town never recovered and only had a population of about 10 people until it merger with nearby towns Ball & Berryville on February 3rd 1895
