He is known for his rare finds, including a Colt Model 1903 revolver that he bought at an auction for $2 million dollars.

Denham Springs is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The population was 7,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Bogalusa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Denham Springs community was founded by General James Wilkinson and his family in 1810. He named it after his father, General John Wilkinson, who had fought in the War of 1812 and been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery. The first post office was established in 1814. In 1870, General Nathaniel Banks commandeered three hundred soldiers to take over control of Mobile Bay from Spanish and Indian forces. After they withdrew, General Banks burned down all but one house in Denham Springs while its inhabitants slept because he felt that they were not contributing to the defense of Mobile Bay and were instead trying to curry favor with Spain. As a result of this incident, many people left Denham Springs for more developed communities such as New Orleans or Baton Rouge. However, most residents returned when Mobile Bay regained its independence in 1874. In 1924-1925, Denham Springs became home to the World's First Automobile show which took place at Lake Pontchartrain Park on Roosevelt Boulevard between Claiborne Avenue and Hammond Avenue (now Elysian Fields Avenue). At that time only wealthy Americans could afford cars so there was much excitement among locals about what would be new on the horizon for their community during these years of change. Many interesting technology products were exhibited including an electric streetcar system called "The Electric Car" which ran on overhead wires across Hammond Ave., still present today as part of CityLink Line #2 service running north/south between I-10 & Canal Street / North Rampart Street stop near Don Bosco Catholic Church(Elysian Fields Ave.))

Denham Springs, Louisiana has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. The area was originally inhabited by the Caddo people, who were known for their hunting and fishing habits. The first white person to settle in Denham Springs was John Denham, who arrived in 1693. In 1807, Colonel Andrew Jackson founded Fort Jackson in Denham Springs, which served as his headquarters during the War of 1812. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, Denham Springs experienced a boom due to its location at the crossroads of several wagon routes. Its residents manufactured goods such as shoes and clothing, as well as selling local produce and flowers at local grocery stores. In 1916, Denham Springs became a city under the leadership of Mayor Fenton Hogg. The city's growth continued until World War II when it was bombed by Japanese forces. After the war, denHAM SPRINGS returned to its traditional role as a small town with few services available outside of its own community. However, over time this lifestyle changed as more businesses opened up within Denham Springs itself and nearby townsfolk began commuting into downtown for work or shopping opportunities. Today, Denham Springs is one of Louisiana's most vibrant communities with a rich cultural heritage that can be seen throughout its streets and buildings

The population of Denham Springs grew rapidly during the early years of the 20th century, and construction began on a dam which would provide irrigation water for the growing community. The dam was completed in 1923, and became one of the most important infrastructure projects in Denham Springs history. In recent decades, however, development has slowed in the area, and there is currently little evidence remaining of the once significant community.
