The history of fresh roasted coffee in Bogalusa, Louisiana dates back to 1862 when a small mill was located on the banks of the Atchafalaya River. The mill produced a high quality cup of coffee that enjoyed wide popularity throughout the region. Fresh roasted coffee continued to be popular until around 1915 when World War I caused a decrease in production.

The town of Bogalusa was founded in 1785 by French traders and was the first permanent European settlement in the area. In 1827, a mill was built near Bogalusa to process coffee beans. The mill continued operation until1883.

Bogalusa, Louisiana is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The population was 9,251 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Orleans-Metairie-Bogalusa Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bogalusa is known for its sugarcane crops and its white cedar forests.

The first recorded reference to fresh roasted coffee was in the Codex Vetus, which dates back to 12th century AD. At that time, Arabs were visiting Europe and observed how Europeans roast their coffee. They reported that the Europeans use sulfur dioxide gas to preheat the beans before they roast them, which gives them an acrid taste. In 1824, Anders Celsius discovered the important fact that water cannot cause Coffee Beans to burst into flames when exposed to air - this rule applies even when Coffee Beans are stored in watertight containers! In 1865, John Clute improved on Anders Celsius's discovery by discovering that temperature affects both flavor and aroma of Coffee Bean oils. He called these changes "flavor notes". In 1912 Harrods Department store began selling Fresh Roasted Coffee under the name "Arabian Mixture". This was followed by Koffee Klasse in 1924, First National Bank Headquarters in 1928 with its own roastery, and finally Bethlehem Steel Corporation's new plant near Pittsburgh in 1930 with its own roastery and distribution network across America. Roasting times vary depending on location (between 2-3 hours). The first two batches will usually have a more acidic taste than subsequent batches. The final product will be richly flavored with hints of chocolate or vanilla; it should be smooth but firm enough not to turn brittle during storage or handling. It can typically last up to six weeks in an airtight container at room temperature or up to four months in a fridge or freezer

Bogalusa, Louisiana is located in the Lower Mississippi Valley and has been inhabited by the indigenous cultures for over 10,000 years. The area was first fur-traded with French traders in the 17th century and began to be settled by European settlers in the 18th century. In 1819, Bogalusa was incorporated as a town within Claiborne Parish. The population of Bogalusa peaked at 100 residents in 1910, but declined during the Great Depression. However, since 2000, the community has begun to rebound and has seen an increase in development including a new hospital and convention center. The history of Bogalusa begins with its location on the banks of what is now called the Calcasieu River. At one time, this area was home to several villages which supported large populations of Native Americans such as the Choctaw people. In 1697, Captain John Smith discovered what is now Bogalusa Bay while exploring Pontchartrain Gulf for France. He named it after his native land of Bengaluru – present day Bangladesh – because he thought it resembled a Hindu god known as Vishnu. Eventually, Spanish colonists arrived in search of new land to exploit and renamed many areas around New Orleans after their own monarchs or Spanish explorers who had explored that part of North America during their expeditions including Santa Clara del Rio (Hidalgo County), San Miguel de Allende (Alamo County), Frio Canyon (Natchitoches Parish), Pueblo Viejo (Lafayette Parish) and Churubusco (Jefferson Parish). In 1819, Claiborne Parish was created from parts of Lafourche and Rapides Parishes following France’s defeat at Waterloo following its $64 million indemnity payment to Spain following Napoleonic Wars. The parish boundaries were approximately where Bogalusa is today: east side Of Mobile Bayou between US 31st Street & Third Street south shore Of Lake Pontchartrain between I-10 West & US 1st Street; west side Of Mobile Bayou between US 31st Street & Fourth Street north shore Of Lake Pontchartrain between I-10 East & US 1st Street; all other parishes were combined into Alamo/Natchitoches until 1800 when they were annexed into Jefferson Parish Bogalusa developed slowly due to lack of available transportation resources plus competition from Chalmette which became a more populous city due to slave trade operations originating from coastal Louisiana before that city fell victim to British occupation during World War II In 1860, Lafayette mayor Jules Thibodeau organized an effort spearheaded by volunteer firemen led by Captains John Fenton and James Caldwell “to stop cattle thieves ravaging our countryside” At first there were only three homes on Main Avenue constructed during this time period: those belonging to Captains Fenton/Caldwell; Major General Nathaniel Banks commanding Union forces at Baton Rouge; Drury House built for Revd William Byrd Sr., pastor emeritus at First Baptist Church across Broadwalk from headquarters on Burgundy Road just north of downtown Lafayette Afterward much property east along Broadway became associated with Lafayette through deeds or purchases dating back several centuriesago such as Daniel Covington’s purchase from Nicholas Bourgoyne d’Auriac some 40 rods north on Canal du Rocher dated back to 1685 . This stretch also included swamps bordered by present day Pryor Boulevard towards Oakland Park then straight across parkland towards Green Oaks Drive finally ending at Old Hammond Shelf Road just northwest cornering current day Old Hammond Barataria Rd near Higgins Dairy facility . duplexes located here include: White Oaks[1860], HammondShelving[1861], Old HammondShelfRoad(now Coliseum Drive)[1862], HigginsDairyFacility(now University Place Shopping Center)[1963]; two triplexes located here are: BeauxArts[1964]and ColiseumDrive[1965]; four doubles located here are: WhiteOakShelving,[1966],[1968],[1970],[1972]; six triplesLocated here are:[1973]and ColiseumDrvie [1974]; eight quadruples Located here are:[1975]and ColiseumDrive [1976],[1978],[1980],[1982],[1984]. By 1870 there existed only 7 houses out numbered 25 lots total comprising almost 2 square miles not counting swampy ground beyond original survey boundaries There wasn't even a road leading directly into town until 1872 when A&P railroad line linked Lafayette withMobile via Holly Springs During this time period smallpox epidemics struck both areas frequently killing many civilians bishop Alexander Stevenson declared martial law ordering all men under 20 years old must leave their homes effective November 12th 1865 many went off into exile taking their families With about 8000 civilian inhabitants remaining most left within two months after martial law ended later joining Confederate service escaping Sherman's April 1865 invasion efforts . Although most returned some did not like living under Confederate rule so large numbers tried again crossing state lines reaching Illinois Winder Missouri By 1900 less than 1000 citizens remained livingin Lafourche Parish La Crosse Indiana Most Left prior To 1920 When Statehood Was granted Louisiana average population size was 3200+

Bogalusa was founded in 1812 by a group of Frenchmen. It became an American town in 1821. The town was destroyed by a fire in 1851, but was rebuilt and renamed Bogalusa in 1865. In 1898, the town merged with Natchitoches to form Livingston Parish.
