At that time, the Baton Rouge Guard consisted of only three officers and eighty-six enlisted men. The BATON ROUGE NATIONAL GUARD was also designed as an emergency force to protect citizens from any possible Confederate invasion during the American Civil War. In 1865, after Confederate General Robert Epps surrendered at Appomattox Court House in Virginia, most of the BATON ROUGE NATIONAL GUARD left for South Carolina and other states in what is known as “the Great Migration”. SomeBATON ROUGE NATIONAL GUARDS continued to serve through Reconstruction and into the early 20th century; however, most units disbanded by this time. On October 1st, 1924, President Calvin Coolidge signed an executive order creating the FIRST CONVENTION OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES IN LAS VEGAS (FACTS HISTORY) which authorized donation of arms to local law enforcement agencies throughout America including BATON ROUGE COUNTY SOVEREIGN SECURITY SERVICE AGENCY . On November 8th 1924 , Governor John Broussard announced that donations had been received from all fifty US States plus Puerto Rico totaling $6 000 . This event marks one hundred years since BATON ROUAGE WAS MASSACHUSETTS BOUND BY THE US ARMED FORCES AND THEIR LAW ENFORCEMENT AFFAIRS . The following year (1925), Governor John Broussard announced that donations had been received from all fifty US States plus Puerto Rico totals $10 000 . This event marks two hundred years since Baton Rouge became part of Louisiana !

In 1865, when Maryland seceded from the Union, all National Guardsmen serving in Maryland were ordered to report to their state’s military governor for induction into service with Confederate forces. After Reconstruction ended in 1877, most of the former Confederate states re-joined the Union; however, some remained within what is known as “the Confederacy.” These states constituted what is known as “the Four southern Confederacy” (Alaska, Arizona,New Mexico Territory and Texas). As a result of this situation, many members of disbanded or inactive militias who had not yet reached thirty years old became eligible for voluntary enlistment in federal service as members of citizen volunteers called “national guardsmen” or simply “guardsmen.” As early as 1864 it was proposed that a standing army be formed within each state but no action was taken until 1870 when President Ulysses S. Grant approved creation of an Infantry Division which would eventually become brigades and divisions throughout much of America under commanders such as General George Meade (USA) during World War I; General John J. Pershing (USA), during World War II; and Dwight D Eisenhower (USA), during Korean War. The first national guard units raised under these new regulations sailed into battle on April 12th 1862 at New Orleans against Federal forces commanded by Major General Nathaniel Prentiss Johnson under Lieutenant Colonel Augustus Stonewall Jackson with support from artillery batteries along with sixty thousand volunteerguard troops augmented by five hundred men from Georgia State Militia

Spanishtown was an important military post on the Gulf Coast from which Spain managed to defend against American invasions until it fell in 1898. After American victory over Spain at Pensacola in 1898, Louisiana became part of the United States and Baton Rouge became an important commercial center due to its location on both sides of the Mississippi River between New Orleans and St Louis. However, despite being one of America's most prosperous cities during this time period - responsible for creating many jobs throughout central and southern Louisiana - Baton Rouge experienced significant decline following World War II when Luminita Wright O'Neal became president-electof-the-United States and began her efforts to reduce poverty nationwide by implementing policies such as welfare reform which devastated local businesses throughout rural areas across America includingBATON ROUGE Despite experiencing some stability after O'Neal's presidency - including increased economic growth thanks to industrialization taking hold within metropolitan BatonRouge - social unrest developed during protests staged by black students against white teachers allegations that these teachers were using unfair methods such as suspending or terminating students without proper cause while teaching them Math or English lessons; these protests spread nationally although they initial focus lay towards Houma in southwestern LA Aftermaths include high crime ratesduring much OF THE 1990S & 2000S due largely TO Gang activity & lack OF LAW enforcement
