In Mayfield, Kentucky, the first commercial coffee was produced in 1795. The town was founded on a tract of land that had been donated by Major General James Wilkinson. In 1824, the post office was established in the town and an exchange for goods took place between Mayfield residents and traders from other towns in the area. The first mill in Mayfield was built in 1827 and processed beans from local farmers into coffee. By 1830, there were six businesses operating in the town with a population of around 100 people. In 1832, JF Dixon opened a store here which became one of the most popular places to buy coffee until World War II when it shifted to Louisville. In 1916-1917, brick school building No. 2 was built here which served as both the civil courthouse and high school until it burned down in 1922; however, some evidence suggests that it may have been designed by architect John Hargrave who also erected the modernist Pferdrei House located at 312 N Main Street in Louisville which is now used as a museum. It should be noted that both buildings were probably not actually built by Hargrave but instead by his brother-in-law George Stephenson who later became involved withMayfield's early history Coffee production increased rapidly after Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBT) became available for purchase from London through purchases from nodes along its route across South America and Africa during 1800s (Greene). At this time BT Landowning Company (LCC) bought out all remaining shares of CBT’s parent company Brazils Coffee Companhia do Acre (BCA). Consequently LCC assumed ownership of all Brazilian coffee plantations operated under BCA management starting with Carajás de Aço plantation at Maranhão state capital Mato Grosso do Sul on 1 January 1800 (Brennan). Mayfield is a small town in Fayette County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington–Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Mayfield settlers were families from Scotland and Ireland who came overland in wagons in the 1840s. In 1851, Charles W. Mayfield established a sawmill on Horse Creek in what is now Mayfield. The mill used water power to run the saws and produced lumber until 1872 when a locomotive powered by steam engines became available to produce more products such as shoes and saddles. By 1865, Mayfield had two churches and two hotels which served the local community. In 1875, David Riggs organized a school district that included present-day Mayfield. He donated land for the school which opened its doors in October of that year. The first teacher was Mrs Cushman who taught kindergarten until 1906 when she moved to Morehead City to become teacher at Central High School there

Mayfield is a small town located in Henderson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 3,611 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from Mount Ephraim, which is in the center of the community. A post office was established in 1827 and kept until 1861. Mayfield was also once part of Jefferson County. It was renamed Henderson County on November 1, 1907, when it became one of twenty-seven counties created by an act of Congress following the American Civil War. On February 13, 1912, Mayfield had a population of 2,812 and its new county seat was Louisville. The courthouse burned down on December 2nd 1913 and has never been rebuilt; however the ruins are still visible today. The history of Mayfield goes back to 1814 when two brothers named George and John MayFIELD settled in this area after fleeing religious persecution in their home country of England. They built a log cabin near where they now live on what is now called Mount Ephraim Road. In 1828, President James Kenedy issued a proclamation that all men were free to come to Kentucky without paying land or taxes for three years as part of his effort to rebuild America after the war. This offer allowed many families to move into this area and start anew with little fear for retribution from those who would have control over their properties or life chances if they did not agree to become citizens. As time passed and these pioneers started businesses or raised families here ( such as Masons), mount Ephraim became known as "the heartland" because so many people here came from Ireland and other parts of Europe during this time period seeking opportunity and Liberty – something that still exists today among some residents hereabouts! In 1861, Henderson County became one of twelve original counties in Kentucky created following the American Civil War through an Act Of Congress known as The Union Bill Of Rights – making it one of only two Ulysses S Grant-era states with such autonomy given to it! At first glance, it may appear that this decision by our government might have been motivated more out OF political expediency than anything else; but upon closer inspection we can see how very important this development actually was: After all across Kentucky there were areas designated Military Districts (i.e., Confederate strongholds) within which military operations were conducted unimpeded due primarily to concerns about Union sympathizers residing within those boundaries – meaning innocent civilians could potentially be targeted without consequence simply because they supported either side! And so giving our citizens some degree level freedom while preserving order required less bloodshed & ink spilled than if any sortOf restrictions had been placed upon us purely based off perceived sympathies/loyalty! As time passed & businesses developed around Mount Ephraim & surrounding townsfolk made use local materials (& even took advantage OF tax breaks offered by our legislators), additional homes began being erected along US Highway 66 – becoming what we know today as "Mayfields." Today's populace continues TO originate FROM ALL OVER EUROPE BECAUSE AMERICA IS THEIR HOME AND THEY WISH TO RETURN HERE IN ORDER TO CONTINUE MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR EVERYONE!!!
