In 1922, Lexington-Fayette County joined forces with Georgetown to form Kentucky Regional Water Authority (KRWA). This organization oversaw many interests within Lexington-Fayette County such as water supply, transportation and environmental protection. As part of KRWA, maga coffee became an important part of their programming and was served at several events throughout the year including Taste of Kentucky Festival (1926), Hog Day (1927) and Lexington farmer’s market days (1929). Maga coffee also made an appearance at several Republican National Convention sessions during this time period. With the growth of Louisville into a major city during the 1930s and 1940s, maga Coffee lost some popularity within KYRWA due to zoning regulations that prevented it from expanding into other areas within Lexington-Fayette County like Louisville proper or surrounding neighborhoods like Churchill Downs where large scale brewing took place on larger scales than what could be accommodated by KRWA employees who were limited in space Nurphy & Sons Brewing Co.) Georgetown is a town ingrass County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,874 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of ingrass County. Georgetown was founded by General James Wilkinson in 1814 and named for George Washington's father-in-law and fellow officer, John Georgetown. Georgetown had a post office from 1829 to 1859. The town was first settled by the Shawnee Native Americans as part of their trade with the French and Spanish empires during the 17th century. The area now known as Georgetown was first traded with Virginia by Captain John Butler in 1699 after he discovered rich coal seams near what is now downtown Louisville. He named his new discovery "New Albany" after his old home state of New York City, but it soon became known as "Georgetown." In 1793, General James Wilkinson abandoned Indian Territory east of Louisville and moved his army westward to take over land extending from present day Lexington to Frankfort on the Ohio River. This area became one of several settlements along what would become known as the Great Kanawha Road (now US 21) beginning in 1800. The settlement at Old Geauga quickly grew into a small community when Colonel Robert Rogers established a trading post there in 1794; Rogers' post continued to be an important center for transportation and trade until it burned down in 1803. In 1814 General James Wilkinson arrived at Geauga for military operations against Native American forces under Chief Powhatan (also known as Mahican). Georgetown was founded in 1775 by two Scottish brothers, John and James Robertson. The town became a settlement in the western portion of Kentucky when the land was purchased from the Cherokee nation. Georgetown grew rapidly during the Revolutionary War, becoming a major military and commercial center. The town was burned by British General Cornwallis in 1801, but quickly rebuilt. In 1814, Georgetown became one of the original thirteen states of the United States of America. During its early years, Georgetown enjoyed an embargo-free trade with France and Spain because both countries were then part of Great Britain. However, this period came to an end after American forces defeated British forces at Battle of Yorktown in1861. After emancipation in 1865, Georgetown experienced rapid growth as slaves began to arrive from Africa and other parts of the slaveholding Confederacy. From 1865 until Reconstruction ended in 1877, Georgetown enjoyed substantial prosperity thanks to its dominant position as a shipping port on the Cumberland River. Georgetown was founded in 1792 by George Rogers Clark as a trading post on the Kentucky River. The original Georgetown Post Office was established in 1801, and it remained in operation until 1935. It served as the center of trade for the area, and its goods transported to and from Louisville and other settlements in central Kentucky. In 1796, General John Brown's Raid on Lexington destroyed the bridge over the Kentucky River that connected Georgetown with nearby Fayetteville. In retaliation, General Clark constructed a new bridge over the river at what is now called crossing Street. The new bridge became an important transportation link between Georgetown and eastern Kentucky during the 19th century. In 1814, pioneer James Harlan donated land to form what is now known as Harlan Park. The park was named in honor of Harlan's wife, Martha Washington, who had played an important role in helping to create western Virginia during her time as president of America's first female government. The park contains several historic buildings such as the old courthouse and jail which were built between 1813-1816. The town of Georgetown Heights was established around 1840 byrationists who wanted to establish a fashionable community near downtown where they could live high society style lives without having to leave their homes. It wasn't until after World War II that Georgetown Heights began becoming more residentialized due to advances in technology which made living close by much easier than it had been before. Georgetown experienced some major growth during World War II when many people relocated from other parts of central Kentucky because of shortages of food and materialsarsity created wartime shortages across all sectors including munitions manufacturing
