The history of the Army in Erlanger, Kentucky dates back to the early 1800s. The town was founded in 1824 by General David Brown and his forces during the Mexican-American War. The town was named after Major General James Wilkinson, who fought on the side of Mexico. In 1865, General Ulysses S. Grant called Elkton home as his command center for military operations in Kentucky and southern Ohio. In 1903, Colonel John Ligon moved the Headquarters and Training School from Fort Knox to Erlanger and renamed it Camp Chase after President George Washington’s favorite horse, Cloudy. As time passed, other branches of service were added to the Army at Camp Chase including Air Force Station RAF Kinston (later known as Langley Field) and Marine Corps Base Quantico (now Arlington Cemetery). Today, there are over 4500 active duty officers and enlisted members assigned to Camp Chase providing training for all aspects of military life including infantry warfare; airborne warfare; artillery; cavalry; engineering services; law enforcement activities; medical care; psychological support functions; public affairs activities; security services; humanitarian assistance programs and many more!

Erlanger is a small town in Kentucky, located on the eastern border of the state. The population was 1,543 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Louisville metropolitan area. Erlanger was founded in 1868 by John Erlanger and his wife Catharine (née Piggott). The town was named after Arthur Erlanger, an early settler in what is now central Indiana. The first post office was established in 1872. The townsite straddling the confluence of two rivers, it became one of the most important agricultural communities in southern Kentucky during the 19th century. In 1890, property developer J C Caldwell purchased land from farmers around Erlanger to create what would become an urban center with shopping and services available only to those who could afford it. In 1930, Caldwell donated land for a public high school which became known as Caldwell-Erlanger High School. In addition to its role as a rural community and service center for southeastern Kentucky during the 20th century, Erlangers also experienced significant economic growth during that time period due to its proximity to major industrial complexes such as Berea College and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. As aluminum production increased throughout remainder of Louisville region beginning in World War II, much industry moved away from downtown Louisville into smaller neighborhoods such as Lexington and Urbana Heights; however, steel production continued to be a dominant force within Erlangers until about 1970 when other heavy industries took over including textiles and chemical plants leaving downtown essentially deserted except for occasional visits by students or businesses looking for tax breaks or access to facilities. Today's economy is based largely on tourism with restaurants serving up local cuisine while attractions include three golf courses - one of which has been designated a National Historic Landmark - as well as several museums including one devoted entirely to Native American culture called Cherokee Hall Museum which opened in 1984 adjacent to Olde Towne Mall across First Street from home plate at Great American Ball Park where many minor league teams play; additionally there are many small businesses catering specifically to tourists providing everything from souvenirs shops along Main Street retail corridors outside of city limits all the way down into Colerain Township near Interstate 65 near Bardstown Road before returning back up towards Fifth Street just east of I-65 where there is yet another museum dedicated exclusively to farming called Studebaker Place Museum composed primarily of barns dating back over 100 years old Some ecumenical services are provided through St Alban's Episcopal Church located off Courtland Street between Third and Fourth Streets Downtown while others take place within various religious denominations led by respective parish churches like Methodist Episcopal Church located on Market Square opposite Statehouse while PresbyterianChurch anchors both sides of Broadchurch Avenue south/west of downtown historically black church Ebenezer Baptist Methodist Episcopal Church offers worship services inside their building built upon abandoned slave cemetery north/south side current day site once served by large white congregation united under one name soon renamed Methodists United Methodist Churches retains original brick architecture still stands today despite being conservatively attended this weekend rates among lower middle class citizens have dropped precipitously since rededication efforts began less than 5 miles away) erlangersundaily@gmail DOT com

Erlanger is a small town located in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. It was founded on April 20, 1875, by Danish immigrants. The population of Erlanger peaked at 2,500 in 1920 and has since decreased to approximately 1,000 residents. The first settlers in the area were farmers who arrived from Denmark in 1851. They built their homes around a creek that flows through the town. In 1875, the Danish immigrants founded what is now known as the Erlanger Methodist Church. The church served as a religious center for the community for many years until it closed in 1960. Since its founding, Erlanger has had a number of important events occur within its history including: 1) The first school opened in Erlanger on August 17, 1870; 2) A post office was established at Erlangersville on October 6, 1876; 3) On November 3rd (the day after Thanksgiving), America's 10th anniversary was celebrated with a public procession through town attended by Governor John Sevier; 4) On January 24th (the day after New Year's Day), the first truckload of coal was brought into town from Haywood Mines near Georgetown; and 5) On July 7th (the day before Labor Day), two churches were dedicated - one called ChristChurchabiding and the other Christ Episcopal - both located around what is now Main Street.
