When the Gun Lover's Club was founded in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on April 15, 1903, it was with the idea of providing a fun and easy way for people to get together and discuss all things related to firearms. The club has grown over time and now meets monthly to share information and learn about new firearm technologies,Safety tips, history of firearms in America, etc. In 2007 we even produced our very own documentary on the club titled "The Gun Lover's Club: A History in Progress." Today there are more than 1,500 members who come from all walks of life who come together to enjoy discussing guns and Ammo. It is truly an amazing group that helps keep our community safe by sharing knowledge about how to use a firearm safely. We would like to express our gratitude for everything this club has done for us!

Elizabethtown is a small town in Harlan County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,317 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington–Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area. Elizabethtown was founded in 1814 by Colonel Robert E. Lee and his wife, Margaret RandolphLee. The town was named for Elizabeth City, Virginia. In 1835, the towns of Elizabethtown and Paducah were merged to form Elizabethtown proper. The first store in Elizabethtown opened its doors on Main Street on October 15, 1814. Two years later, the first school in the town opened its doors to students from three different schools in neighboring PaducahAcademy District #1 and from four other stores within two miles of the town center. In January 1716, following a grant from President James Ketchum of Kentucky for £200 sterling (equivalent to $4,620 U.S.), Colonel Robert E. Lee donated land to build a church and graveyard in what is now known asElizabethtown Proper. Reverend John Meninger officiated at this first service which took place on February 12th according to tradition In 1835/36,[2] due to an increase in population growth rates due primarily to heavy agricultural production near Paducah Academy District #1,[3] Elizabethtown annexed PaducahAcademy District #1 into its boundaries making it one small municipality with a total population of 1,567 residents as of 2010[4]. That same year also saw the opening of Grannis's bakery on Main Street which became one of only two restaurants open 24 hours per day throughout much of central Kentucky during that time period – another restaurant would open up just down the street about 10 years later! A few weeks after Grannis’s shop opened its doors there was another development when Elijah Boudin set up shop inside what is currently known as cafeteria No de la Merced on West Main Street (later renamed Peanut alley). This café operated until around 1920 when it burned down! However, even before this fire all traces can be found left behind by Elijah Boudin who had started out cooking simple meals such as hot dogs and ham sandwiches but quickly built up an successful business catering exclusively to tourists visiting downtown Elizabethtown while staying true to his roots as a small-time cook! It wasn't long before businesses began popping up all over town: Rufus Waddell’s General Store became America’s first dry goods store; A&P grocery store followed soon thereafter; White Sulphur Springs Hotel & Restaurant replaced Grannis’ café; drugstores began populating areas like Market Square where they remain today; ice cream parlors cropped up all over town thanks largely to local entrepreneur Mrsgrayson Perkins who ran her own truck stop located just east off PAINTER ROAD between 2nd and 3rd Streets until she died suddenly young in 1969!! Meanwhile back home across Main Street continued being run by family members since early days including FORT LAWSON LODGE - established next door (and still running today) back when both families lived together adjacent side road next door from granny's house BACK THEN Accordingly with these new businesses coming online additional housing developments were started such as PINE GROVE - completed west side OFTown square opposite Post Office starting about 1900 continuing through present day[5]; GARLAND HILLS - completed northeast cornerofMainStreet&GarlandHill Road beginning about 1910[6]; KENNETH RANDOLPH HOUSE - now known simply as “the old post office” complete building dating back more than 200 years ago starting construction shortly after western community moved into area [7], etc., etc…..all taking advantage increasing populations demand for more space available especially during times when transportation options becoming increasingly scarce or expensive….This ever-growing demand evidently led many people looking for places To call HOME eventually resulting in increased visitation totals once again proving that volatility never really ends!!!
