By 1840, coffee was becoming an important commodity in the region and people started to specialize in different types of coffee. In 1851, Coffee Market Company began producing gourmet coffee. The company traded directly with European merchants and offered a wide variety of grades of roasts and beans. Gourmet coffee became popular among wealthy families in the region and eventually spread throughout America. The popularity of gourmet coffee led to increased demand for beans, which caused prices to go up and production to increase. Today, Campbellsville is home to one of the largest gourmet cafes in the United States.

Campbellsville is a small, rural town in Marshall County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,394 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington–Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Town of Campbellsville was first formed in 1814 and named for General John Campbell who fought in the Mexican-American War and became a U.S. Senator from Kentucky. The town was platted in 1825 and when it was organized as a village on December 14, 1830 by John Crouch (1797-1869), one of the original settlers in this area, it had an estimated population of sixty citizens. In 1834 it acquired its legal status as a town and received a post office from that time until November 30th, 1860 when it became an incorporated community under the name of Campbellsville with Auren Hinson (1810-1886) serving as its first Mayor. During the American Civil WarCampbellsville’s hardworking citizens donated over $1 million to help feed soldiers and their families within Confederate territory; some residents even furnished their own tents for use on campaign trail during the war years! Many local businesses were destroyed or closed during wartime including two banks which were both re-opened after hostilities ended; these changes would not have been possible without continued support from individuals like Mrs. Hinson! After Union victory in 1865 many residents chose to move away or integrate into larger towns across central KY but few if any examples remain today of what once constituted Campbellsville’s Main Street! Over time much development took place within our tiny townscape but unfortunately most has been lost to time and neglect - something which should be commended given that so much good has come from such modest beginnings! A recent addition to our community landscape is The Rheingold Brewery which opened up shop in 2016 adjacent to our Community Center sporting 20+ taps full of craft beer options! This is just one example among many that have become integral parts of our revived downtown area – we can only hope that future efforts will continue to result in more tangible improvements for all concerned!

Coffee beans were grown and roasted in Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Brazil before being exported to Europe. At its peak in the late 18th century, coffee production totaled more than two million tons a year. In 1902, Dutch coffee entrepreneur Captain Cornelis van der Linde founded a small business that became one of the world's leading coffee companies. By the early 21st century, Dutch coffee had fallen behind Emanuel Roepke's German company Koffeehaus Holland Limited (KHL) in global market share but still enjoyed high quality status among consumers around the world. In 1886, Swiss chemist Johann Friedrich Pribram developed a process for roasting whole beans that yielded a higher-quality cup of coffee than either instant or ground Coffee products at that time. This new method required drying and then processing Beans into their various parts - ground Coffee was sold as is without any further processing. However, this new technology did not take off until well after World War II when it finally replaced hand-roasted Beans with an automated system. One reason for this delay may have been technical difficulties caused by Variety of Beans (Variety limited farmers' inability to produce sufficiently different types of beans). After World War II however Quality increased making hand roasted Bean= High Quality Cup size has always been an important aspect of Café Culture where larger cups provide more opportunity to enjoy all flavors present in each cup while also giving customers more space to reach for their favorite beverage

Campbellsville, Kentucky is a small town located in Bourbon County, Kentucky. It was founded on February 14, 1821 by Andrew Campbell and his brother-in-law Daniel Boone. The town grew up around the United States Military Academy at West Point. After the academy closed in 1865, the college students who were living there moved to Campbellsville and started a school. The town also became known for its whiskey production. The population of Campbellsville was 801 when it lost its city status in 1924. However, because of this and other reasons, it only had a population of about 100 until the early 21st century. In that time, it has seen some Significant Events such as becoming an incorporated city in 1984 and being the home of the Campbell's Funeral Home since 2006.
Campbellsville was founded in 1790 by John Campbell and his family. The town grew rapidly and in 1820, Campbellsville became the first county seat of Johnson County. In 1827, the U.S. Post Office was established in Campbellsville and it has been in operation continuously since that time.
