In 1932, the City Limits system was eliminated; all K-12 students within city limits now attend school within Ridgway Unified School Districts or other public districts outside of Wichita Falls metropolitan area The early 20th century saw significant growth for agriculture here due to good land availability and easy access to irrigation water from rivers nearby. This led to increased production of corn, wheat, oats, soybeans and other crops which fueled an increase in local businesses including hotels/motels/restaurants/theater etc., as well as heavy industry such as oil refineries/steel mills etc.; this also increased demand for labor which led toSKSI Rubber Company being one of the most important employers here during this time period This has left some remnants of pioneer culture here like cowboy hats still seen around town today although not very common anymore due mostly to changes brought about by technology now . Some businesses that have continued long into modern times are: First National Bank (founded 1925), Midwestern Bell Telephone Company (founded 1927), Dairy Queen (established 1948), grain elevator #2 (established 1951)
