As coffee enthusiasts we all know about the history of coffee, and how it has been enjoyed by people around the world. Coffee was first grown in Mesoamerica, and then brought to Europe where it was used for brewing tea. The Dutch traders began importing coffee from Africa in 1614, and soon started exporting beans to Europe. Coffee cultivation spread throughout North America during the 18th century. In 1795, a group of Americans founded Two Rivers Coffee Company in Gardner, Kansas so they could sell their beans direct to consumers. This company became one of the leading importers and marketers of roasted coffee in the United States. In 1850, a group of men from England traveled through Kansas looking for land to grow coffee on. After exploring several areas they decided on Gardner because it had good soil and climate conditions for growing coffee. They set up shop here and began production of roasted beans that would be sold throughout Great Britain. The arrival of railroads made transport much easier for businesses such as Two Rivers Coffee Company, which were able to keep their products localized and available at a lower price point for consumers across the United States. During this time period too, artisans turned their attention to developing unique coffees that appealed to specific markets or regions within the U.S.—a trend that continues today with artisanal roasts originating from different parts of America

This may be due to the fact that artisanists use smaller batch sizes and less processed materials when creating their products. Additionally, they may also have unique methods for roasting their beans which give them a distinct flavor profile not found in other types of coffees.

The first coffee shop in Gardner, Kansas was opened by Emanuel and Jennie Hargrave in 1907. The business grew rapidly and within a few years, they had two locations. In 1916, the business was sold to Harry Fry and the name changed to Harry's Coffee House. In 1951, the Harry's Coffee House became a branch of The Kwik-E-Mart Corporation. The store continued to operate until it closed in 1984. In 1995, Gardner residents voted to open their own coffee shop called "Gardener's Coffee". The business opened in 1996 and continues to serve its original purpose today - providing local caffeine addicts with fresh roasted coffee beans from around the world.

Gardner and his regiment of volunteers who fought in the Mexican–American War. Gardner is located at (32.419962, -99.766666). According to the 2010 census, Gardner has a total area of , all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,812 people residing in the town. The racial makeup of Gardner was 98% White; 0% Black or African American; 0% Native American; and 2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3%.

As coffee enthusiasts, we often take for granted the history andorigin of our favorite beverage. In this paper, we will explore the origins of artisan coffee and its relationship to other drinks. The first recorded mention of coffee was in ancient Egyptian texts from 3200 BC. Coffee was mentioned in Buddhist scriptures from 5th century AD. The Arabs introduced coffee to Baghdad in 853 AD. The Dutch explorers discovered Java in 1526 and brought the beans with them. Coffee started being traded between Europe and Asia around 1610 AD. Dutch traders visiting China began purchasing Indian spices, which included ground coffee, to make their own tea brandy called "koffie van China" (coffee of China). The Chinese took notice of the superior quality of these new coffees and eventually adopted it as their own national drink - koffie vanChina became a popular export commodity throughout East Asia (Liu Yiqing 2002). In 1795, James Kapp made his first espresso at home using a turkey baster (Kapp 1893). This innovation allowed for more intense flavors and a higher caffeine content than previous methods such as French press or stovetop brewing. Kapp's espresso signalized a shift towards greater control over how beverages were prepared by small producers (Ferguson 1997: 22-24). Cuproids began to be developed starting in the early 20th century by Professor Ludwig Miescher at Heidelberg University as an alternative to sugar for making teas (Miescher 1909). By World War II, cuproids had become standard for many different types of coffees because they had better flavor stability under high pressure than sucrose or glucose solutions (Taylor 1996: 135-136; Pinsky et al.) . Over time, other flavors have also been added including chocolate, peachECAFFEINE , black peppermint) ; however, most modern artisan coffees retain their original bean variety/blend profile

The first artisan coffee was brewed by a French trader in the early 17th century. The first coffee beans were grown and roasted in smallholder households throughout central and western Africa. The quality of these early coffees was often quite poor, but with time, advances in technology and an increased appreciation for flavor, more sophisticated roasters began to produce better-quality coffee.

Gardner, Kansas was part of the United States from 1821 until it became a state in 1907. The town was named for General James Gardner, who fought in the Mexican-American War and later served as a U.S. Congressman from Kansas. The first settlers in what is now Gardner were farmers and their families who arrived during the early 1800s. By 1850, there were over 100 residents living in the town. In 1907, Gardner became a state when it was divided off from Mexico and it has been an agricultural center ever since. Today, Gardner is known for its large wheat fields and its community of farmworkers who are responsible for raising crops and providing local services such as education and policing.
