The United States Air Force (USAF) was founded on August 29, 1947 by President Harry S. Truman as a result of the National Security Act of 1947. The USAF is one of the five military services in the United States and it is responsible for providing air and space power to defend America and its allies from attack. One of the main purposes of the USAF is to provide education, training and research within its branches so that our country can maintain its global securityposition. Air Assault Forces are one branch within the USAF that specializes in conducting airstrikes against targets located overseas or inside enemy territory. These forces are often used in support operations with other branches such as Special Operations Forces (SOS). Additionally, there are also Air Expeditionary Units which serve outside the continental US while engaged in hostilities or operations elsewhere in the world. Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) was an example of how Air Assault Forces were used during this time period. This operation took place in Afghanistan between 2001-2002 and saw members from both wings team up to conduct strikes against Taliban positions using OH-6C Panther helicopters which had been modified with Hellfire missiles

Emporia,Kansas is a small city in the state of Kansas. The population was 8,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Emporia County and part of the Wichita metropolitan area. Emporia was founded as a town in 1857 by colonists from England. The first post office was opened in 1861. As an agricultural center, Emporia has been produces corn, soybeans, wheat, tobacco and other crops for export for years. The city also manufactures items such as clocks, televisions and bicycles. A large portion of the city's economy is based on its role as a transportation hub with connections to Wichita and Topeka. The history of Emporia goes back to 1857 when colonists from England established the town of Emporia on the east side of present-day Wichita River near where it enters Missouri River. At first called "Hutchinson", emigration increased following news that Kansas had become a territory under Ulysses S Grant during American Civil War I (1865). In 1869, Hutchinson became the capital of what would later be called Oklahoma Territory after General Sam Houston won independence from Mexico (1848). Because there were no United States Post Offices open in Indian Territory at that time, mail was carried out using teams across buffalo grass bridges over Arkansas or Texas Creek until 1865 when territorial Territorial officer James Hance created an outpost at Hutchinson along Withrops creek which served as his temporary post office until May 1st 1861 when he appointed John Witherspoon Postmaster General for Indian Territory effective July 1st 1861 with power to establish & maintain permanent posts throughout all territories newly organized pursuant to Organic Act No 54 US Congress 3rd July 1865 In 1870 settlers arrived from Illinois seeking land west of Fort Scott on what is now northwest side of Main Street in downtown Emporia; these men laid out lots around what are now First National Bank building (now occupied by KFC) on Second Avenue between Second and Third Streets; within two years they had erected a frame courthouse including jail cells and sold $1 per acre lot licenses to farmers who built farms around their lots; name given to this structure – "Old Courthouse" or "the Roundabout". The first election held in this new precinct was February 4th 1870 by ballot result: Free black man James Weldon run against white man Solomon Prentice for Constable position but lost because whites not willing to fund campaign expenses worth $4 per day - typical practice then! Some records show that Abraham Lincoln attended one early meeting about twenty miles south at Ottawa Grove Baptist Church before leaving for London via stagecoach! A local source claims that Judge James Millington who presided over Shawnee Mission Prison jurisdiction hearing process made some scathing comments about Republic government policies regarding Indians being forced into labor without consent or compensation which led Toombs Committee recommendation recommendations suspending prosecutions against many accused? This also caused outrage among Jedediah Johnson faction leaders who wanted revenge? As punishment Foroons Committee recommended giving responsibility for Indian Affairs Functions within Department rather than outside Agency like previously done? Lincoln finally agreed upon Congressman Thaddeus Stevens proposal offered through House Joint Resolution 82 US Congress 2nd January 1871 reducing responsibilities/authority transferred from Interior Department back inside Department instead? This event occurred just weeks before Lincoln's assassination! By November 14th 1871 approximately 1000 Federal troops had arrived in town & began erecting fences surrounding reservation lands adjacent to town limits; started confiscating Native owned property including gardens & forests!? Although initial reaction seems harsh some people realized that if federal troops moved into reservations they would need food & shelter so restrictions were gradually lifted beginning December 15th 1871????? Aftermath saw many changes with Bandwagon Massacre taking place on April 30th 1850s!!!! This year’s installment includes an overview of how air force gift giving has evolved over time. In 1912, when America’s first airplane was designed, donations were few and far between. However, thanks to donations from individuals and businesses alike, America’s fledgling air force had its very own set of airplanes available for use by mission commanders. And even this early version wasn’t without controversy: many felt that an airplane was not truly a tool for warfare until it could be used effectively to transport troops and supplies across country boundaries. Nevertheless, since 1912 American aviation had undergone some significant progress: new planes had been developed that could fly at high altitudes (the “high altitude machines”), new technology had been discovered that would revolutionize warfare during World War II (such as radar), and new industries had arisen around aviation that would continue to grow throughout much of our history (e.g., aeronautics). The development and use of aerial vehicles by both militaries around the world made it important for each country to develop its own type or variant thereof – something which is still evident today in different forms across multiple armies worldwide!
