Dodge City is home to the oldest coffee shop in Kansas, The Coffee House. It was founded in 1868 by Nicholas “Jock” Colfax and his wife, Catherine. In 1915, The Coffee House became the first coffee shop in Wichita when it opened at 7th and Market Streets. In 1945, The Coffee House relocated to its current location on Seventh Street in Dodge City. In 1961, The Coffee House merged with the Wichita Brewing Company to form Wichita Brewing-The Coffee House Corporation. In 1984, Wichita Brewing-The Coffeehouse Corporation was bought by American Beverage Corporation and changed its name to American Beverage Incorporated. With American Beverage Incorporated as its legal owner, The CoffeeHouse Corporation continued to operate until it closed its doors for good in 2002. Today, there are a few remaining legacy coffee shops scattered throughout the Midwestern United States: The Coffee House in Rochester, Minnesota; Peet’s Cafe & Tea Shop in Greenville SC; and Starbucks at 6th and Grand Avenue in Omaha Nebraska). However, none of these places can claim to be the oldest coffee shop still open today within their respective states or countries! That title goes to the original Wichita Brewing-The CoffeeHouse Corporation located on Seventh Street near Main Street in Dodge City (now part of downtown).

Dodge City is a small town located in Shawnee County, Kansas, United States. The population was 4,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita metropolitan area. The first settler in Dodge City was John A. Whitney who arrived in 1847. At the time it was a part of Shawnee County and contained only about 100 residents. The community grew rapidly due to the successful fur trading industry which continued until the 1850s when gold seekers started arriving in search of new natural resources. This led to an increase in population and development around Dodge City Creek as miners came to exploit what they believed were valuable veins of silver and gold within its hillsides. In 1872, Dodge City became one of the townships within Shawnee County and officially became a city on November 3 that year with a population of 10,000 people. The city's growth continued unabated through World War I (1914-18), Prohibition ( 1933-39), and the Great Depression (1937-1945). In 1955, Dodge City annexed nearby Girardville which had also experienced rapid growth during this period; this annexation helped jumpstart downtown redevelopment which continues to this day Dodge City has been reborn as an artsy enclave with many galleries and art museums located near its central business district including Midtown Arts District (Midtown Plaza) and Northwest Side neighborhoods such as McNamara Park and Ford Square Park. Recently renovatedand rebranded as "The Village" by Mayor Sly James after years of neglect by previous administrations, it has become home to large numbers of young professionals working in various industries across multiple sectors - from tech startups to health care providers - making it one of Wichita’s most vibrant areas for creativity overall .

Dodge City is a city in western Kansas, United States. The population was 5,813 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of Dodge County and the county's largest municipality. The first permanent settler in what would become Dodge City was John C. Frémont on July 24, 1847. The town grew quickly and by 1860 had a population of 1,500 people. By 1890, it had grown to 10,000 people and by 1920 it had reached 20,000 people. In 1925 the city limits were extended to encompass all of Shawnee County and in 1930 they were expanded again to include Allamakee County. Dodge City was named for General George A. Marshall who fought in World War I as a lieutenant colonel with the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) based in France from 1917 until his retirement on April 15, 1919. Dodge City is also home to Marshall National Memorial which honors him with an exhibit of military vehicles on loan from the Department of Defense since 1966). In recent years there has been discussion about whether or not to move the airport out of town because of its decline in traffic volume over time and its impact on surrounding neighborhoods but no decisions have yet been made official. There are currently plans underway for a new terminal that would be built adjacent to existing railroad tracks just north of downtown which would house both commercial and passenger services as well as remove some congestion around the current terminal site
