Derby, Kansas is a small town in Clearwater County, Kansas, United States. The population was 727 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Wichita– amplano, KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Derby was John Fenton in 1867. He and his family founded the town on the east side of Arkansas Creek near present-day Noblesville. The name "Derby" first appeared on a map of Clearwater County in 1871. In 1902, the county commissioners voted to annex all of Clearwater County to Hutchinson County so that Hutchinson could have an easier time getting water from nearby Pawnee National Grasslands for irrigation purposes. However, this annexation failed because there were no votes cast by residents of Derby who lived in Hutchinson County before 1902. The only building still standing in Derby is the old courthouse which was built in 1903 and destroyed by a fire in 1935. Other buildings include a Methodist church (1892), a school (1896), a post office (1902), and an agricultural store (1910). According to the 2010 census, there are 613 people living in Derby including 476 households and 158 families; it has an average household size of 2.93 persons and a mean family size of 3.62 persons

Dunkin' Donuts began as a small restaurant called The Dome located in Arlington County, Virginia back in 1954. It wasn't until 1971 that they opened their first Dunkin' Donuts location outside of Massachusetts Avenue (now Prince George's County). The original Dunkin' Donuts locations were all open 24/7; however, later on they started opening up during lunchtime so people wouldn't have to wait long for their food if they wanted to eat at home afterwards (this decision helped them become one of America's most popular fast food chains). In 1984 Dunkin' Donuts introduced its first self-serve espresso machine which allowed customers to order any type of drink or pastry directly from the machines without having to go into any restaurants first! Today there are more than two hundred Dunkin' Donunts around the world!
