Coffeyville is a small town in Coffey County, Kansas, United States. The population was 756 at the 2000 census. It has a history dating back to 1876 when coffee beans were roasted on the family farmstead. Coffee beans were first commodity crops grown in this area and it was not until after World War II that coffee became a major industry in Coffeyville. The current roasting company, Fresh Roasted Coffee Company, opened its doors in 1984 and continues to roast world-class coffee products.

Coffeyville is a small town in Jackson County, Kansas, United States. The population was 905 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1868 by John Coffey and his wife, Susannah. John Coffey built a log cabin on the site that became the first permanent home in what would become Coffeyville. He named it after himself and hiswife. In 1869, George Ainslie came to Coffeyville from Illinois and began to operate a gristmill here. In 1870, he married Sarah Jane Brownell of Topeka and set up a millinery business here too. In 1872, he built an addition to the mill which became known as the "Old House." It still stands today as one of Coffeyville's most prominent landmarks. In 1875, Jno Trawick arrived from Missouri and founded Trawick & Sons Coal Mines here with his brother-in-law Jacob Hayson. The mines produced coal until 1895 when they were closed due to high water levels in the Kansas River system caused by Hurricane Helene. In 1902, Harry Capps opened what would become one of Coffeyville's most important businesses: The Kress drug store/cafeteria complex (now part of Quality Inn). Located on Main Street between First Avenue and Dickinson Avenue, it was one of Wichita's leading commercial sites during its early days.(Kress also operated a post office at 5th Street North.) Doris Manners came to Coffeyville in 1960 from Topeka where she had been working for her father-in-law at The Girdler Drug Store in downtown Topeka.(The Girdler Drug Store is now defunct.) She started out as an account clerk before becoming manager in 1966.(Manners retired from her job as manager of The Girdler Drugstore on October 1st 2009.)(Manners died on December 15th 2009.)) Coffeyville is a small town in Clay County, Kansas, United States. The population was 971 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Topeka, KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. Coffeyville was founded in 1867 and named for John Coffey, an early settler. The first post office in Coffeyville was established in 1868. The community had no school until 1874 when it opened under the name "Coffeyville School". In 1875, a Catholic church (the first such structure in Clay County) was built and the name changed to "St. Vincent's Church". The present post office building was completed in 1917 and dedicated by Archbishop Costello of Chicago. In 1958, Coffeyville became the home of Texas A&M University-Kingsville where students study agricultural engineering and other graduate level disciplines. Coffeyville has been home to several professional sports teams over the years; most notably its local football team which competing as members of both the Mid-States Football League (1974-1981) and Wichita Falls American Football League (1982-1986). Other recent sports teams that have called CoffEYVILLE their home include baseball (the town's only major sport), golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball and water polo. In addition to its traditional cultural attractions like art shows and music festivals throughout the year as well as annual Oktoberfest celebration on October 10th all within easy reach for residents/visitors alike - coffEYVILLE offers something unique every day!
