Over time there have been several other colleges/universities established or relocated within or near DowntownWestLafayette including American International College (now known as Weisenthal College), Butler University - Purdue Boilermakers football team’s home field since 1898 - IUPUI - Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY OF PEMISSA) which moved into its current facility adjacent to Central Park just southwestofDowntownWestLafayette in2006 -and Ball State University’s Research Campus located southwest off Interstate 64 just northofEastonVillage outside US Bank Stadium
