Noblesville is a city in central Indiana, United States. The population was 41,815 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Posey County. The first people to live in what is now Noblesville were Native Americans who hunted and gathered food in the area that includes today's Noblesville. A post office was established in 1827, and by 1840, it had become a town. The first white person to arrive in what is now Noblesville was George Washington Carrington, who built a home on the present site of the University of Notre Dame in 1847. In 1862, James Kenealy founded Kenealy Chemical Company on Main Street in what is now downtown Nobleville. In 1865, David Hackett founded The Indianapolis Times newspaper here. By 1870, there were over 100 businesses operating here; by 1900 this number had grown to over 1,000! In 1916, Lafayette High School (now Noble-Haven High School) opened its doors as one of only two high schools open for girls in Indiana; later that year it became coeducational! On July 8th of that year (the date still celebrated as " Girls' Day" here), Indianapolis Mayor Elihu Root dedicated the new Regional Market Building at 4th and Central Streets – which would house many local businesses until its demolition in 2002 – becoming one of India's earliest commercial districts! Today’s store fronts are all original from that era including an exterior “giraffe” design by artist Harry Weigand! Lafayette has beenhome to several annualNoblevillet Days celebrations since then including their own parade on May 6th each year which attracts thousands of visitors! On October 14th of each year (the day after Columbus Day), community members gather at neighboring Park View Cemetery for an Annual recognition ceremony recognizing all our current & past residents (&families) with pride & admiration through programs like honoring our military men & women via flags/pendants/ Medals/Quarters etc... This event typically features refreshments followed by fireworks display around 9pm or until dark!

Noblesville is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana and the seat of Noble County. The population was 37,824 at the 2010 census, making it the largest municipality in Noble County by population. Its name comes from English nobility who settled there in the late 17th century. The first permanent settlers were a group of Quakers who arrived in 1697 and named their new community Noblesville after one of their number, Sir William Noble. The city was founded as an agricultural village on a small tract of land southwest of present-day Indianapolis on what is now Northeast Side Drive. A post office called Noblesville was established in 1847, and full incorporation as a town occurred on January 1, 1871. On November 5, 1907, the city became part of Indianapolis when its entire area became part of the newly created Marion County. In early 1919,Noblesville experienced its first tornado outbreak when several mills destroyed in nearby Greenwood were struck by twisters that day. After this event local officials began to call for more strict protection measures against tornadoes which continued until 1957 when they abandoned all such guidelines completely due to concerns about+=the+=risk=of+=catastrophic=tornadoes=] . In 1966-1967 two major fires burned throughout downtown causing extensive damage before being extinguished by firefighters using water hoses from nearby reservoirs
