The shotgun was used for target shooting and hunting deer in upstate New York at the time. 3) John Fenton gave his son an ArmaLite AR-15 rifle in 1990 as a Christmas present. The rifle was originally bought by John during World War II and remained with him ever since. 4) A woman named Susan gave her husband an Iver Johnson revolver as a gift in 2004 after he had passed away from cancer research at Purdue University. The revolver had belonged to John’s father and was registered with the National Firearms Act (NFA). This allowed anyone over 21 years old to purchase this weapon without having to get special permission from the government

New Haven is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana, located on the banks of the Wabash River. As of the 2010 census, its population was 59,815 and it is the largest city in central Indiana by population size. The New Haven metropolitan area has a Population of over 100,000 people and covers all or part of five counties in central Indiana: Allen, Dearborn, Henderson, Huntington and Lucas County. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in America. The first people to live here were indigenous Americans who called this area "Haven" meaning "safe place." In 1847 when General James K. Polk took office as President of the United States he decided that new land would be set aside for colonization in what is now southcentral Indiana - including what is now New Haven - because he saw this area as an ideal location for a large eastern terminus for railroads following their journey from Missouri to Chicago and points eastward. A company was formed to purchase 640 acres (248 hectares) near present day downtown New Haven from Isaac Durham for $1 per acre (0.50 cents per square foot). The town site was chosen due to its strategic location on four main rivers - Wabash River, Delaware River, Erie Canal and Soil und Erosion Control District Line Railroad - making it easily tradeable by traders along these routes and available for settlement by men who could build logboats downstream to transport goods across these rivers. The town's founders included Nathaniel Eaton (a signer of the Declaration of Independence), Lewis Cass (the 3rd Secretary of State under George Washington), John Pemberton (Governor of Michigan Territory) and Nicholas Stoddard (Judge Advocate General during King George III's War). Development began shortly after construction started on what became known as Old Town which comprised buildings built before 1848 as well as several homes at One Masonic Lodge Square where Judge Advocate General Stoddard lived with his family during parts of his service with both France and America during the Revolutionary War On July 1st 1851 when heavy rains caused flooding throughout southern India which destroyed many villages including those around Colaba – within two days’ notice Eaton moved his family into 25 Creek Street which had been cleared away from Duck Lake but still filled with water & mud so they could build their house without having any windowspses damaged or lost forever! They named their home Mount Auburn after Samuel Adams’ property next door (& also happened to be home sweet home where Eaton grew up!). The original street grid can still be seen today if you drive down Center Street past West Elmhurst Cemetery then turn right onto South Elmhurst Road; once you reach North Elmhurst Road your GPS will lead you back upstream again! In spite being one hundred years old today some aspects about life in New Haven remain quite similar such as election day Parades held every year on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., Mt Auburn Rd 5th Ave & Main St; free soft drinks are always given out at various stores open late each night; hayrides are often organized during summertime outdoors on nearby mountains/ hills...the list goes on! Although many small businesses have closed since 2008 due largely to economic conditions nationwide there are more than 1800 companies registered with USA Today Incorporated providing diverse services including architecture & engineering services; manufacturing; real estate development; environmental consulting; information technology & outsourcing services...New Haven continues to thrive despite difficult times thanks not only to its passionate community but alsoto many great individuals who continue make things happen here!

New Haven is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana, and the seat of New Haven County. As of the 2010 census, its population was 54,291. The city is located on the eastern edge of the Hoosier State line and is bordered to the north by Greenfield Township and to the south by South Bend Township. It lies within Indiana's Class V metropolitan area, which has a population of over 1 million people. The Indianapolis–Carmel–Anderson Combined Statistical Area has a total population of more than 6 million people. The history of New Haven can be traced back to 1837 when it was incorporated as a town in what is now known as Greenfield Township. In 1853, it became one of five townships in Howard County; it remained an unincorporated community until 1987 when it became part of New Haven Township again. On July 1, 1907, all but two blocks of downtown were destroyed during a natural disaster that left much damage and many homeless; there are still some scars from that event today. In 1914-1915, parts of New Haven were used as military training sites for World War I veterans who had returned home from Europe; these camps are also sometimes referred to as "Camp Yale". In 1925, new housing developments called "The Gables" began to attract families fleeing rural poverty in central Indiana; they remain one of New Haven's most popular attractions today. On November 8th, 1927 – exactly 100 years after its incorporation – New Haven celebrated its centennial with an annual parade through downtown streets attended by dignitaries such as Ulysses S Grant and Woodrow Wilson Jr.; at that time it ranked second only to Indianapolis in terms ofsize among American cities with over 200 thousand residents (behind Philadelphia). That year saw important changes within the community: first came electionation as Mayor Harry Crouch’s home was destroyed during Hurricane Agnes (which led to his nickname “Mayor Meanie”), followed by passage by City Council members unanimously voting for annexation into Carmel County on December 12th 1959 following approval from then-County Executive James Mapes; this action created what would become known locally as "The Harrison Annexation". Today, much like other Midwestern cities experiencing rapid growth during this time period such as Chicago or Cleveland – both served by adjoining counties - NHC continues to experience explosive growth due primarily to strong job availability (+30% since 2000) while also benefiting significantly from being just minutes' walk away from several major shopping malls including Sears/Kmart/JCPenney/Haley's Department Store & more recently Macy's/ DSW/Neiman Marcus etc., making it easily accessible for any level individual or family looking for convenience store Variety stores gas stations small grocery stores convenient places for eating outnightlife
New Haven was founded in 1795 by Captain John Noble and his wife, Judith. The city became a part of the United States in 1801. New Haven's first mayor was Isaac Norris. In 1814, the city annexed the town of Peru as part of its population growth. New Haven also annexed the towns of Springdale, Lappan and Woodstock in 1868. The city's population reached 100,000 by 1890. It had a library system by 1870 and an educational system with over 350 schools by 1900. Today, New Haven is a small urban center with a population of just over 50,000 people.
