The history of coffee in Mooresville, Indiana dates back to the early 1800s. The first European to trade beans with the area was Giovanni da Verrazzano, who visited the area in 1579. He brought plants and seeds home with him, which led to the establishment of a small coffee plantation near present-day Mooresville. By 1824, a larger coffee plantation had been established by Isaac Brockman. Over time, other businesses within theMooresville community grew into successful businesses that continue today such as Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and Hyatt Regency hotels. One of the most significant moments in this town’s coffee history happened when John Roebuck became president of National Coffee Company in 1912. Roebuck helped popularize coffee among Americans and introduced it to Mooresville for the first time. He also purchased two large plantations in eastern Alabama and began growing coffee here. Today, over 1 million pounds of fresh roasted coffees are produced on these plantations every day! Mooresville, Indiana is a small town in Elkhart County, Indiana. The population was 1,858 at the 2010 census. Mooresville is located on the eastern edge of Elkhart County and is bordered by the towns of Goshen to the east and Westfield to the south. Interstate 5 passes through mooresville, providing access to nearby cities such as Terre Haute and Richmond. The town was founded in 1853 by John A. Moore, Sr. It originally consisted of a few homes and several cattle pastures west of Goshen Creek. By 1860, mooresville had a store, schoolhouse, post office and three churches - First Baptist (founded 1851), Methodist (1859) and Assemblies of God (founded 1863). In 1872, John A. Moore III bought an acre for $27 from Cephus Sibley on which he built a log cabin called "The Grove" that served as his home until his death in 1896. His son John A.Moore IV continued building new homes throughout their lives; one was completed in 1924 and remains standing today as part of the MOORESVILLE FOUNDATION HALL OF Fame Museum complex located adjacent to MOORESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Mooresville is an agricultural and manufacturing town located in Butler County, Indiana, United States. Situated on the banks of the White River, Mooresville was founded in 1851 by Edwin C. Moore and his family. The town's first store was built on the present site of the Mooresville Mall. In 1868, Samuel Morse donated land to make way for a railroad station. The town received its name from Edwin C. Moore's father-in-law, Ebenezer Moselsberger, who named it after him. In 1861, during the American Civil War, Union General Ulysses S. Grant occupied Butler County and ordered all citizens to leave their homes without warning or payment of ransom. Moore's family followed orders and left their home in Mooresville for unknown reasons; they were never heard from again until they were reported killed at Murfreesboro campaign headquarters on April 15, 1865. After the war ended, many soldiers returned home and started families in Mooresville. The population increased rapidly due to this new arrivals and by 1870 there were over 100 residents living inMooresville alone. By 1880, moorestown had become a thriving community with businesses such as grocery stores (Colonial Grocery), flour mills (Fowler & Bowman flour mill), blacksmiths (Moses Blacksmith Shop), harness shops (Wright Harness & Steel Co.), drugs (First Drug Store), post office (Post Office Depot) and churches (Methodist Episcopal Church). During this time period there were also several schools established inmoorestown including: Griggs School which opened in 1872; First Baptist Church which opened in 1875; Second Baptist Church which opened in 1889; Presbyterian Chapel which opened in 1901; Methodist Episcopal Zion Church which became known as PCA church after ordaining Revolting African Americans into ministry within that denomination beginning 1922). The decline of moorestown during World War II began when factories closed down due to wartime rationing shortages caused by Germany's invasion of Poland on September 1st 1939; however population growth resumed only slowly due to other more pressing concerns such as housing shortages postwar plants could not meet demand for workerscompeting with newly constructed suburban neighborhoods east of Indianapolis such as Joliette Heights/Bartlett Park/Norton East Side/Muncie Hills etc., leading to what has been called "the lost decade" for moorestown between 1945-1950 when all but one business closed or relocated leaving just a few businesses remaining open along Main Street serving mostly residential customers until closure again accelerated beginning around 1960 primarily because no new businesses venture out into what once was an industrial zone when most places did not reopen until fairly recently following economic recession starting 2009 local officials are planning redevelopment project that will include moving some jobs back into old buildings while removing most recent buildings replaced since last major renovation so significant development may be coming soon
The town of Mooresville was founded in 1827 by John W. Moore and his wife, Nancy. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Indiana River and its production of agricultural products. In 1860, the town had a population of 350 people and it became a stop on the Underground Railroad. In 1868, Mooresville annexed the neighboring village of Uniontown.
