In 1986, MorningStar Farms acquired Jello Bites from Kraft Foods Incorporated and renamed it Jello Bites Jr.. In 1992, Hershey Co., now known as Hershey Park Industries bought Starbuck's parent company and took over all operations at Starbucks including its stores across North America (except Canada). Starbucks continued to operate under their original name until 1997 when they were rebranded as Peet's Coffee & Tea Ltd.. After years of being run by different people and ownership changes within the company, Peet's finally closed all their cafes in March 2006 after more than two decades in business. Martinsville is a city in and the county seat of Posey County, Indiana, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The first settlers in Martinsville were David and Mary Martin who arrived on July 1, 1814. They built a cabin on what is now the corner of State and Washington Streets. By 1815, they had completed a larger cabin and named it "Martin's Store." In 1820, they moved to their present location where they erected a two-story frame building which still stands today as the centerpiece of downtown Martinsville. The Martin family continued to operate this business until 1893 when it was purchased by John Daugherty who renamed it "Daugherty's Drug Store". In 1907, J.P. Morgan establishedMorgan Drug Stores here with his brother James P Morgan serving as general manager until his death in 1935. In 1916, the United States Government leased land at which Martinsville now stands for use as an airfield during World War I; however because of rainstorms that week prior to its opening, only small areas were usable so aircraft based out of these fields had to be parked elsewhere while main airport facilities were constructed nearby across town at Hammonds Field (later renamed Indianapolis International Airport). In 1948, Edwin A Hemenway became president of American Cyanamid Company; he recommended that Martinsville become one of America's leading centers for research into new chemical products due to its location within easy access to major highways and industries including agriculture and textiles production sites nearby. After helping organize America's first national conference on food science & technology—an event that would lead to advances in packaging materials—Hemenway founded the University Corporation for Technology Development (UTC) here in 1953 which remains one of UTC’s primary missions today: To promote highly innovative technological entrepreneurs from industry/university collaborations around the world through scholarships and other resources

In 1861, the Union Army burned down the old courthouse, but the townspeople rebuilt it. They also built a school and a Methodist church. In 1881, Martinsville became part of the newly formed Indianapolis metropolitan area. It has remained an important community ever since. In 1970, Martinsville had a population of over 3600 people.
