The Marine Corps Deployment Gift History Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of Marines deployed gifts. The museum was founded in 1984 by private collector, Don Fenton and his wife, Betty. The museum has since grown to include over 27,000 items from across the Marine Corps. Don and Betty originally collected Marine Corps memorabilia as souvenirs for their family. After traveling throughout the United States, they began to collect Marine gift history in 1992. Their collection grew with donations from other Marines and civilians alike. In 2000, the Museum opened its first exhibit on Okinawa Island where they display artifacts from Japan’s World War II garrison there. Today, the Museum has a library containing over 25,000 items related to MarinesDeployed Gifts history including objects such as uniforms and equipment used during deployments. Additionally, the Museum offers exhibits on various aspects of Marines Deployed Gifts culture including art exhibitions and photo galleries.

Team members also distribute free meals to military personnel deployed in overseas locations while they are away from home. Some GGT teams even offer catch-up sessions after deployments so servicemen can get together with old friends and discuss life after deployment experiences. Today’s marines celebrate service member hometown pride with local events such as golf tournaments at Bagram Air Field where members purchase customized golf carts full of donated food; car wash days at Camp Pendleton where team members donate refurbished cars from participating dealerships; holidays like Christmas Eve where individuals deliver baskets filled with holiday items including candy bars and eggnog;and more! Madison, Indiana is a small town in central Putnam County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. In 1814, General David Wilkinson founded Fort Wayne on the White River in what is now Madison. Wilkinson's fort was destroyed by Native Americans in 1815 and he again founded Fort Wayne in 1816. In 1824, President James K. Polk built a new fort at what is now downtown Madison to protect American traders from British vessels working the Great Lakes. The new fort served as America's first military post west of the Mississippi River and became known as "The First Military Post West of the Mississippi". In 1840, William Tappan developed land north of present-day Madison near Poseyville for a possible railroad station and town site. Tappan named his proposed town "Madison" after General Wilkinson's old home state of Virginia (now Hampton), where he had been born in 1795. However, no railroad ever reached Madison and it failed to gain popularity as a settlement despite its attractive location just south of Indianapolis on two main routes: one leading to Michigan City through Poseyville and one leading east to Chicago through Hammondsport. In 1851–1853, three Brothers Emmons ran an unsuccessful cattle drive from Texas into this region during which they became famous because they razed entire herds of buffalo along their route - something that would not be repeated until well into the 20th century east of the Rockies
Madison was founded in 1814 by Colonel James Monongalia and Captain John Gregg. The town was named after General George Washington, who had visited the area during the War of 1812. The first store in Madison opened in 1815. In 1830, Madison became a county seat and remained that way until it was moved to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1907. In 1865,Madison became a city and continued to be so until 1970.
