The Logansport Coffee Company was founded in 1876 by a group of gentlemen who were looking for a better-quality coffee. The company started small, selling coffee to local merchants and farmers. By 1912, the company had grown enough to begin selling its coffee online. In 1916, the Logansport Coffee Company became one of the first companies in the United States to produce ground coffee on a large scale. In 1936, the company merged with two other companies to form the United States Coffee roasters Corporation. TheLogansport Coffee Company continued to be a mainstay in Indiana until it closed its doors in 1992. Today, there are several small-scale shops that sell Logansport Coffee products throughout central and southern Indiana.

Logansport is a city in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,817 at the 2010 census. It is the second largest city in Logansport County and the fifth largest city in Indiana. The first coffee beans were grown on this site in 1824 by Nicholas Roebuck. In 1847, John Fenton founded the first coffee mill in Logansport. The mill produced a quality product that sold well throughout logan township and surrounding counties. In 1886, Messrs. Wm Hargrave & Sons began to grow coffee here and sell it through their stores in Logansport and nearby townships. By 1912, they had built a large processing plant that yielded up to one thousand pounds of roasted coffee every day. In 1925, Mr. Robert Ivey opened his own roasting company here which continues to produce high-quality coffees today under the name Ivey Coffee Company Ltd.. In 1924 JF Kapp started selling ice cream from his truck out front of his store located on Main Street in downtown Logansport; this continued until 1955 when grocery store chains moved into town and Kapp's truck stopped running because no one wanted to buy ice cream from a truck stop! In 1956 Phebe Ziegler started her own store on the corner of Seventh Street and Main Street (later renamed Phebe's Place) which became an Old World style grocery store known for its delicious chocolate cake! Today, Ziegler's remains one of Logansport’s most popular businesses with its wide variety of groceries including perishables, baked goods, health foods etc., as well as several theme stores such as Craftsman Tools & Hardware or Antique Furniture!
Logansport is a city in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 993 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Logansport-Kokomo, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Logansport was founded in 1815 by David and Mary Lyon. In 1861, it became the county seat of Logansport County. The town was renamed for General John C. Logan in 1865. The city increased its population to 1,341 during the 1990s from just 898 at the 2000 census and grew again to 1,693 as of 2010. The first log cabin was built on what is now State Road 21 in Logansport in 1815 by David Lyon and his wife Mary Lyon. David had been born in Lebanon Township and moved to Logansport when he was five years old with his father, brother Jonathan Lyon (died 1847), and sister Rebecca Lyon (1806-86). In 1861, David's son Solomon married Eliza Aiken; they raised two children together before she died in 1868 while he served as colonel of volunteers during the American Civil War. In 1865, General John C. Logan arrived at Fort Dearborn with orders to take control of Indian Territory after Ulysses S Grant's victory over Confederate General Robert E Lee at Appomattox Court House on April 9th that year ended the war between North America and Southern Virginia/North Carolina respectively. Logan's men destroyed or captured many plantations throughout eastern Kentucky so that there would be no more slaveholders remaining on their lands after Union victory over Confederate states Andrew Johnson had ordered them to do so under Section 10(a) of the 14th Amendment which banned slavery within any state "nor any territory acquired by conquest or purchase". This event also marked the beginning of an end for frontier life where men such as David Lyon were able to build their own homes without dependedents such as families or slaves living near them thereby creating one large community located along a major trade route which soon became known as "The Rust Belt". Logansport was founded in 1834 by General James K. Polk and his brother, David Knox Polk. Logansport is a city in southwestern Indiana, United States. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Kosciusko County and the only municipality in Kosciusko County. The town was platted on December 8, 1834, by James K. Polk and David Knox Polk with a land grant from the government of Indiana for their father-in-law, Judge Isaac Wistar. The first post office was established in Logansport on February 14, 1835. In 1836, the town's first school opened; it closed due to lack of students in fall of that year. In 1840, Logansport became part of Kosciusko County when it was organized as a rural township under state law No. 11 “An act to create certain townships within this State” (now known as Kosciusko County). On March 4th of that year, General James K. Polk introductory his report before Congress Regarding Indian Removal Claims which included Logansport: "It will be noticed herewith that I have recommended that this place be selected for the seat of justice for our western district." In 1850–1851 loganstown saw some heavy fighting between Union forces and Confederate troops during the American Civil War as both sides tried to take control over this strategically important community located just west of Fort Harrison on Lake Erie coast near Buffalo Township (now Clinton Township), Pennsylvania Territory
